iOS 10.1.1 Jailbreak Released

The link does say it's broken. But people have used it. And it works. So... /shrug.

I did read the same as you said though.neither 3 nor 4 worked for me. Such is life.

Anyway I responded with this since he asked for s timeline. Figured it was evidence there is active updating going on.

pleasantly surprised, sped up animations works too.

ColorFlow would be nice too, album art color coordinated UI for spotify/music app, but it like other things will just be added bonuses,

I definitely dont encourage people to try the beta tho, you gotta be hungry and foolish

Eclipse 4 beta is on gmoran's repo now.
 
My iPhone 7 Plus is 10.0.2 Is there any way I can upgrade to 10.1.1 or am I stuck where I'm at?

Can I use this jailbreak on 10.0.2?

I lied, made the leap to eclipse alpha 1! if all apps enabled is buggy or too annoying, ill just disable

Even more tempted to jailbreak now... patience running out waiting for more stable beta's to come out
 
So let me get this straight ( I'm new to the iPhone and JB scene, been a big Nexus rooter and ROM guy for years ) So the beta JB released last week was like an Alpha and very early meant for developers mainly ? But this guy has been updating the beta every few days and fixing bugs and adding features ? And as of right now he's on beta 4, where last weeks original release was beta 1 ?

Main thing I'd like to JB for are these;

- Pixel launcher
- Google search bar widget
- Icon packs
- Virtual home button to work just by tapping it not having to press
- A way to close all running background apps with one click
- Set default apps to what I prefer, not forced to only use Apple apps
- Lockscreen tweeks like different clock, etc...
- iFile
- Speed up animations

its in beta, not alpha, next step should be gamma/release candidate.

hes at a conference, without a laptop where he debugs and stuff I think

so there's downtime right now, beta4 was supposedly unstable ro something, I'm on beta3,

if you're new to scene, wait for stability/a clean release without tinkering

you want a good first experience, straight forward. coming from ROMs and all its a breeze but

probably virtual home button and sped up animations are all you'll get for now, and iFile, while other things work on being updated

I think iFile may work but I haven't tried

and closing all apps is actually bad practice on a day to day, over time once every blue moon sure and GPS-intensive apps absolutely close, but it has to reload the app from flash to RAM, and that consumes energy every time vs already being in memory but inactive

jailbreak scene way cooler than Rom scene Imo, having dabbled with that a bit on a nexus or two

also I recommend everyone install this tvOS beta profile on their iPhones to prevent OTA if on 10.1.1 to say its up to date and not accidentally screw themselves over, whether on beta or waiting for stable release of jb

easy, and takes like a minute to do. make sure 10.2 isn't already downloaded and if it is delete it. see two posts below for descirption

it essentially makes the iPhone still check for an update, but since there are no tvOS beta builds for iPhone, it says up to date, lol

Can i install this now, even though I am not JB yet ? I got lucky with my T-Mobile 7 Plus I picked up last week, on 10.1.1 out of the box, but that pesky red badge is on the settings icon, and every day it seems to try tricky sneaky ways top ask me to update.

yes, works for non-jailbreakers too

its a stock trick

the red badge will remain in settings->software update but when u click software update it will say up to date, and the badge on home screen for me isn't there

BEFORE doing this, make sure 10.2 isn't already downloaded and if it is, delete it. settings->general->storage and icloud-> manage storage,

My Cloud storage shows 5.0GB free with 5.0GB space available, only other item in there was 1Blocker file very small Kilobytes.

UPDATE:

Actually 10.2 was already stored on the phone, under Storage not icloud storage. I found it and deleted.

Then I went to that github website, and installed the TV app thing, it asked me to reboot the device, and I did.

So I'm safe for now ?

Manage storage the first one in that setting. Storage storage not iCloud storage.

If u see ur apps in the list but no iOS update you're good and don't have it downloaded
