iOS 10.1 Beta 2 Bug Fixes, Changes & Improvements

Changes:

• Animations on iPhone 7 and 7+ are faster and smoother (for some)
• Carrier version updated to 26.0
• iMessage app drawer UI slightly tweaked (scroll bar replaces dots)
• Adds "replay" button to message effects
• Modem Firmware updated to 2.36 (iPhone 6s Plus)
• Auto-play Message Effects now functional.
• App Store refreshes its cache (without tapping menu bar continuously) every time it starts from home screen if its not already opened in App Switcher. If its opened then updates its contents.
• Contacts refresh with swipe down gesture while there's no refresh icon (previously available at upper left corner)

Bug Fixes:

• Notes should no longer crash (from release notes)
• Notification center bug (untappable notifications) fixed
• Bug that caused white squares to appear in dark areas of photos when shooting in RAW format in apps such as ProCam 4 has been fixed
• Wifi issues (previously posted) have been resolved properly.
• Speaker Volume bug (significant low volume of all types) has been rectified.
• Updated Apps in App Store Updates Section now direct to their dedicated pages after expanding their description/whats new. (Also applies to iOS versions prior to 10.1. iPhone only)

Bugs: Build relevant | from previous build/s

1. Hard Reset Display Glitch is yet there.
2. Safari Text Selector Right Handle bug. Workaround: use left handle to select the desired text.
3. Viber/Whatsapp (3rd party VoIP apps) doesn't refresh their notifications to appear upon wifi/cellular connection after a period of disconnected state until the main app is opened.
4. Wallpaper settings on iPad still has the appearance of old lock screen (iOS 9 and older)

Well there isn't a whole lot going on with this beta, anyway. It doesn't even change anything for most iPhones.

Apple engineers are away of it but we need to araise the issue more if we want it fixed. There are far more important things to fix.

Very small update. My guess is they added the headphone fix to the existing beta with very few other tweaks.

Just finished doing the update and it appears to be a little bit better... I think. It's still seems a little off, but not as bad before. Honestly, I've gotten so used to the messed up animation that I'm not entirely sure what the normal animation looks like.

It covers a pretty small minority of iDevices so... seems like more of a 10.0.3 feature.

To put it in perspective, people were hoping for Dark Mode in 10.1.

I don't know. I'd say it's a pretty big feature...x.x.x is for bug fixes

It's Macrumors a/k/a drama queen central. End of the world a Beta 2 has a 1/10th of 1 second stutter to it. Apple should just pack up shop now.

It most certainly was not fixed in betas as it didn't appear until beta 7. When you are in a text field in Safari, go to '123' type one number or one character, then hit the space bar. It does not return to 'abc' automatically, it remains on '123'. But if you hit two characters on '123' and then space bar, it returns to 'abc' automatically. There are at least 5 threads discussing the bug and Apple is even aware of it.
