iPhone 7 Plus. So little will have changed.

Well this is surprising, I was convinced it'd move to final release, especially with media reports already circulating for a while about iOS 10.3

Anyway, after a day or two, it'd be great to hear whether anyone has experienced the early shutdown bug please.

As far as I can gather, this has not been an issue present in the previous Beta releases of 10.2.1

Thank you.

It's very possible this is a GM, with a public release tomorrow.

This is a good way to catch any last minute bugs before going public.

The animations on my 7+ seem OK when going from an app displaying a lot of text to the app switcher. Before, if I was browsing a 200+ comment page on reddit and went to multitasking, there would be noticeable stutter. It seems fine now..

Certainly feels better and faster than the last beta, several hours later. Typing especially seems better - not sure why. iPhone 6S.

So something weird happened to me today.. I've applied to the beta program today and under settings and updates, Beta 2 was available for download. So I started downloading it and it came somewhere in the middle of the download process (almost finished).. So in between I have paused the download for why I needed to get home from work. After I came home I wanted to resume the download but it kept checking for updates until I haven't restarted the phone. After I restarted Beta 3 suddenly pops up as available for download and it "resumed" on it's own. So I've checked for the storage usage and it seems to me it also downloaded beta 2? What my concern is, after the update.. did it delete those files of beta 2 that weren't fully downloaded? Or is it stuck somewhere now?

Can some one plz tell me the difference between 10.2 and 10.2.1 beta 3 apart from behind the scene which i cant tell what exactly has taken 3 betas to fix to me its identical plz some one tell me?

Who said anything had to be fixed or changed? It could just be code improvements and decluttering. And they are merely submitting betas to make sure nothing broke.

Since it's a bug fix release it's likely down to some bug fixes (perhaps mostly or partially security related ones). Doesn't really seem that much of anything specific has been identified, so we'll have to see what, if anything in particular, Apple lists in the release notes when they officially release the update.

Whoa, widgets are lagged. Pull down the Notification Center and swipe to the widget. First time is smooth but second time is not smooth.

Oh wow. I didn't notice much of a difference with typing on my iPhone 7+, probably because it's masked by the really fast CPU, but on my iPad Air the keyboard is MUCH more responsive.

Given that the keyboard has felt crappy for the longest time on my iPad and I've actually avoided using it sometimes for this reason, this is a wonderful thing!

Still can't sync home videos to the TV app without the Videos app, which is no longer available.
Not only that, the app is super buggy and/or limited.
  • Freezes or lags on weak Internet connection, even when browsing offline contents
  • UI sometimes fails to respond to user input
  • In video playback mode, tapping the screen sometimes hide playback controls and Done button
  • Doesn't support different landscape orientation
