It is absolutely horrendous. Backing up with iTunes is such a chore now. Apple has yet to respond to my bug reports.
Fortunately, some more frequent retries could make it works once.
But still bad especially in this iOS 10.3 update.

The only work around that I have found is deleting your iTunes backup, putting iTunes completely and reopening iTunes and trying again. Seems to work most times after doing that.

Ahh, you remind me that I deleted the old backup to create a new one.

Yeah I learned the hard way that if the backup fails and you just hit backup again, that new backup (if it succeeds) will be corrupt. So any time that connection reset message pops up, the old backup must be deleted.

Holy... this is surely annoying.

It really is. Apple got back to me within a month regarding the Safari Keyboard bug. This has been 2 months of reporting.
I guess this is because apple forces everyone to not use computer to do iOS matters and believe their cloud service is powerful enough?

Probably, but iCloud backup is slow and not nearly as reliable. I only use it incase of an emergency and iTunes fails.

Well, I am the opposite, iCloud contributes to regular backup, while iTunes are for key backup. But either ways, apple cloud service is not as reliable as they brag, same as their local backup system.

For some unknown reason, 10.2.1 seems to have fixed the GPS problem (at least for me). When I used Waze, Maps, Google Maps, etc the blue dot/arrow (which shows the position) would jump from place to place. Long story short; I could not use that kind of apps as I had one of the iPhone 7's that had that issue. In the past I had failed to find a solution and every forum on the web suggested that all I could do was to go to my local Apple Store and ask for a new iPhone. Well, I never did that and as it seems I no longer have to live with that GPS issue.
PS. I always thought it was a hardware issue, so I never expected it to be fixed with an iOS update.

For me this version gives me the best deep sleep. Only loosing 1% during the night, 4 e-mail box synchronised with more than 50 emails during the night.

Bluetooth is basically worthless now. My Jaybird X2s drop after about twenty minutes of use. I've done the restart dance (Bluetooth off/on, headphones off/on, iOS device off/on, unpair/repair, factory reset headphones) for the last few days and I'm officially tired of it.

These headphones were working fine just a week ago.
I did notice more of that. but hardly any crackling and glitching like I have had since I got the 7+

security holes found in iOS 10.2 are in 10.1 as well? my ip7 came with 10.1 instaled. i dont want upgrade unless is necessarily

thx

i upgraded to 10.2.1 few hours ago. so far so good. battery works well till now and generally speaking i can't see any changes in terms of stability etc compared with 10.1

The News-widget for the control center is gone now in Germany. Pity.

Edit: The widget seems to be missing on some iPhones. iPads are not affected. Strange.

After update to iOS 10.2.1 in France the news feed widget has gone on iPhone 6, but stayed on iPhone SE.

Did someone noticed the awful battery life? Draining every 2 or 3 minutes.. gosh!

Yep there is definitely a drain issue that I have never seen before. I'm on an iPhone 7, 256GB and my battery life is nowhere near as good as it was on iOS 10.2

Weird update. Check this site every day - saw no front page article mentioning the update (must've missed it).
First time ever I've seen a red number 1 on the System settings icon on the iPhone/iPad and first time I've had an update that didn't require either device to be plugged in via a cable to a machine running iTunes.

Don't think updates have required a computer/iTunes for some time now, assuming you have a WiFi connection to download the updates right on the device.

Finally updated from 9.3.5. Will see how it goes.

I noticed my iPhone now accesses my location when I pull up today view. How do I disable this behavior?

Settings> Privacy> Location Services ( I´m not a 100% sure if the last option is referred to as Location Services). There you are able to see which apps and services use your location.

Yeah, I'm unsure which widget is actually responsible for this. I was hoping there would be a setting to disallow location access on the today screen altogether.

I`ve just checked a second ago, no location symbol. Could be a coincidence. No apps working in the background? I would suggest you to simply disable tracking for every app which you don´t need. For others, only when in use. There are also apps, which have certain permissions where I ask myself: What the hell...
