iOS 10.3 Beta 3 - Bug Fixes, Changes, etc.

Not sure if this is a bug or intended, but:
  1. Open an app on your device. Keep it in the App Switcher and switch to the Home screen.
  2. Uninstall the app, and reinstall it from the App Store.
  3. While the app installs, go to the App Switcher and attempt to switch to the app.
If all goes right the screen should show only the wallpaper until the Home button is pressed. The App Switcher item for the app will also switch to 'Installing...' or 'Loading...' when the app is reinstalling.

Just checked. I have this too. Pop would result in a totally random pic.
 
Anyone notice an issue with notifications from the Outlook mail app? Normally when a notification slides down on the top of the screen, I can swipe down on it for options to handle that new email, including delete it. Under b3 I no longer get any options when I swipe down on a new email notification. Anyone notice this or can test it?
 
I think I found another change in the new beta, never seen it before:

Go into the lockscreen widgets and scroll down until the big clock is hidden. A clock appears in the status bar right next to the lock symbol

What is the "big clock"? I have the day and date at the top of the widget page, but no clock.

Nah man you have the time showing on the today view up top. That is the "big clock". Scroll down until that is not visible and watch a clock appear in the status bar up top.

I think that's in relation to doing it when the phone is locked.

I see that behavior in iOS 10.2.1 right now too (on iPhone 7).

Was about to check another device on 10.2.1 to see if it was there. I don't remember if it was there or not. But not like I pay that close attention to the status bar when going to today view to see items there. thx
 
Hi all, I have noticed an issue with settings/battery and the usage and standby information. Since this iOS, both of these show the same information and this is incorrect. Usage and Standby should always be different unless you physically use your phone all of the time, which I do not. At the moment it is saying I have a usage of 10hrs 24mins and a standby of 10hrs 24mins. This is just incorrect.

Known issue across most all iOS versions. Beta 2 was especially bad for this. Usually there is a hung process (iCloud, email acct, some app) causing this. A reboot may solve. Turning off email account then turning back on. Same for iCloud. Reset network settings or finally reset all settings are all possible solutions.

Oh, thx for the rapid reply! :) I wasn't aware of this as this is the first time I am seeing this.

Ah. The phone has to be locked for this to occur. I see it now. Nice. Why have time in 2 places, right?

It also makes the text spacing of the Carrier name more compact. I never noticed that before. Now if only you could hide 90% of that stuff.

I can confirm that this has been happening to me since I got my iPhone 7 in September. Only does it in landscape and sometimes it is a completely random picture that is nowhere near the picture I was "peeking" into.

Mine brings up Spotlight Search. That's intended behaviour, not too sure about you though.

The idea is then to scroll down from there just past the time/date and notice the time pop back into the center of the status bar at the top (this is while the phone is locked).

Trying to use the Search field in Settings fails. I end up with an empty search box that won't go away, an unresponsive Cancel button (to dismiss/hide the search box), and a highlighted section of the app that the search result is from (if I type if Background App Refresh, then General is highlighted).
