Probably because of APFS changes to the OS cant do a delta update from Beta 7 to final.

Beta to final has always been a full download. Unless the beta and final build were same.
Which they usually are as of at least the last 2-3 beta to finals, so something changed here.

It cannot HURT to remove the beta profile and update again just in case some back-end changes were made.

...or because they haven't released the final to the beta profile yet, like every other public beta. Patience!

Man, beta 6 had really smooth animations, especially in the app switcher. Beta 7/ final is back to the same choppy animation when entering app switcher that we've had since 10.0. Wonder why they went back...

But how come the beta 7 build isn't the same as the release version then?

interesting as on Apple developer site it says build

note the beta is build 14E5277a

Same for watchOS
  • 14V249
on apple developer site, but my build is 14V5249a again latest beta version.

Anyone else having an endless iMessage 'Waiting for activation...' after updating? (From 10.2.1). Tried another restart, still nothing.
