It could be a useless feature for those that park on an inner level of a parking garage. But for the many people that don't, it will be very useful.

It's a useless feature unless you park outside or on the top level. GPS really doesn't work through reinforced concrete very well.... and their are an awful lot of these car parks around, especially in city's and towns which are the place it would be useful, but instead it won't be. A possible pointless feature.

As someone who at one time loved the iPhone, I honestly have to ask how you people have not jumped ship yet? Once I switched to Android around 4 years ago, I never looked back. The iPhone is a complete and utter joke. iOS is an abomination. And even the hardware is lacking waaaaay behind. How is it 2016 and the iPhone still has no IR blaster!?!?
Have you actually tried the new iphones with the new iOS? It's actually pretty good. Yes, iOS has some issues and lacks some of the features that Android already has. Even though Android has features iOS doesn't, it still has issues with it. It doesn't run as smooth as iOS.

I've had the iPhone 6s Plus. Loved it but just couldn't get use to it. So i bought the N6P. It's a decent phone but not the best like some people claims it to be. I just bought the OnePlus 3 and can't wait to use it. I'm still itching to get a iPhone 6S Plus because of how smooth iOS is. Apple is better at rolling out updates to their phones. Even on the Nexus, I wasn't getting the updates at the same time as other Nexus. When i had the iPhone, when iOS 9.3 was released, I was able to download and update it that moment. Plus, app development seems way better on iOS than on Android. We'll see if i end up purchasing a 6S+

*edit* even though the "new" features on iOS 10 isn't really "new", looks pretty good and that is another reason i'm itching to get another 6S+

Let's wait for people to actually try this in parking garages before we call it useless in those circumstances. As was mentioned earlier, there are multiple ways to estimate your location if GPS is unavailable- if Apple chose to use them. Either way, that doesn't change the fact that most people probably don't park in car parks on a daily basis, so it's still a nice feature for many people even if it unfortunately doesn't work out for frequent parking garage users.

We really just need something better than GPS, but that's a pipe dream at this point.

The thing is, it's not simplified! It didn't look any easier to use, the font being so big only looks stupid, and it doesn't really solve THE problem!
It became worse. They just needed to adjust some app flow and layout, the overall design was good. What we got now looks like a toy for small kids, it reminds me of huge duplo blocks in comparison to small lego.

You must be new here. Those 90% of multi story concrete and steel car parks that refuse to be compatible with Apple's plans are now evil anti progress dinosaurs and must be boycotted until they modify their structures to allow the GPS signals through.

Just like how all the non-Apple pay retailers need to be boycotted.

/s

I know this is supposed to be sarcasm or whatever, but- from what I hear: this feature is already on stock Android Maps & apps like Waze; so it sounds like a legit question.

I agree, I don't think taking a photo or using notes is a solution as mentioned? But we will need to wait for people to test this feature out.

As for GPS, no, we don't need a replacement as I fear it will just be charged for, GPS is kinda free, not sure how it works but I imagine tax's in some way pay for all those satellites up there? But if there was a free GPS alternative then yeah fine.

Good point, I guess making do with what we have is a better plan. Good thing they don't pay me the big bucks to make these kinds of decisions!

My motorcycle would be insulted if it was called a car. It has 2 wheels and weighs 240kg, it is nothing like a car. There better be an option to change this.

I did email Craig Federighi in late May about this. Heres to hoping!

I tried ios10. The press home to unlock now while awake was horrendous. Switched back.

That needs to go or have a toggle.

What's next? SMS?
Hahaha! I remember when the 5S came out, there were people (albeit a small amount) complaining that the iPhone still didn't support Flash. That's finally died down, but now the desire for an IR blaster seems to have taken its place. Not sure why people want older, clunky, gimmicks added to the iPhone, of all things to complain about.

I pretty much agree with all of these.

The bumped up fonts on Apple Music seem like they were made by someone who really dislikes iPhones and wants to design their own OS.

I agree with the Apple Music app changes, except for those hillariously superbold section headers... What the hell is up with that?!?! Where did the sleek, thin beauty go?

For example the "For you" in the attached image.

Keep in mind that these betas continue to change and aren't always full-featured at release.

I'd never judge things this early on. You've 3+ months of changes ahead before iOS 10 sees prime time.

I'm sure the sleeping function will feed into HealthKit and have some additions before it goes GM.

I'm guessing that you can use an app like Sleep Cycle that uses the mic and accelerometer for sleep tracking, and that data should get plugged into the health app and maybe into this bedtime sub-app.

The notification with the font looks like the UI from TV shows so the camera can read the phone screens.
