When I first saw him post this I agreed he was on to something great and needed to post it in feedback. I'm glad his design is getting attention!
I still never get notifications from Instagram even though it's turned onThis would be nice. Instead of getting 100 "So-and-so liked your photo" messages from Instagram over a 15 minute period, it could just collapse them all down. Although honestly I should probably just turn it off because it's freaking annoying.
It's not too late for Apple to add this. They've changed and added small things during beta periods in the past. This would be a small but significant change for some users.
Apple has also provided developers with the ability to update existing notifications with new information, or delete them, which should help declutter the Lock screen and Notification Center. But many apps still generate multiple notifications, such as every photo, video, or message you receive on Snapchat.
Leather bound spiral with some green felt!!!!! LOLWhat makes a design elegant? Shiny chrome? Pinstripes? Faux leather, felt, linen? Drop shadows? Color? Just trying to get a definition of elegant.
So allowing users to have their own themes is a definition of elegant. Ok.Leather bound spiral with some green felt!!!!! LOL
No, not really. Keep the thin, change the color and give it some depth.... simply drop the Nintendo Looking GUI.
And how about start defining buttons. Blue, random placed text is stupid.
How about give us some theme control. I want a space gray theme, I'm sick of white on white with fem colors. I don't need my phone's OS outing my sexuality every time I unlock it.
As always, Apple can't win. If they redesign something, it's rubbish and if they copy from Android (which is what's suggested), they get slack.
I'm so over Ivy's being involved in iOS. HE needs to get out of it..

Any app that nags me like that will always be immediately deleted. They sort of are already on the notification screen, but they are too bulky and many apps product far too many notifications. "You haven't played this game in 15 min, here is a reminder notifications!"
Get a job at Apple and do some great designs to make Apple great. There are Android phones for Android style notifications. I don't like this concept.
So let whoever feels something has been copied from them go after Apple if they actually have something to go on.Apple gets criticism because they sued Samsung for trivial things that were copied.
I'd love to.Get a job at Apple and do some great designs to make Apple great.
Was that your attempt trying to slam me?So allowing users to have their own themes is a definition of elegant. Ok.
It is just a joke.sounds like someone isn't comfortable with whom they are....
Yeah, I see that, but still he ain't helpin it!I’m actually worried(?) that this isn’t the signature of Jony Ive. This has watchOS all over it and that was the brain child of Alan Dye, the new VP of UI Design.
There can more than likely be a way to have each one of those individual notifications still have separate actions even when they are visually grouped. There's a reason Apple isn't doing this...
You can press a notification to respond to it. When text messages are grouped, you cannot press to pull up the conversation that you want.

You know, you can turn off notifications on a per app basis? They sort of are already on the notification screen, but they are too bulky and many apps product far too many notifications. "You haven't played this game in 15 min, here is a reminder notifications!"
