Attempted to update my 7 plus OTA yesterday. Downloaded fine, but went straight to iTunes restore mode upon install. Successive attempts to either update or restore the phone via iTunes were unsuccessful (Received an "error 9").

It's currently being looked at by Geek Squad techs (Apple store reservations unavailable for 3 days?!) who can't get into it either. Not looking good...

Put the phone in DFU mode and restore using iTunes.

LOL @ Geek squad

Note: DFU on a iPhone 7 is volume down + power/sleep button.

Apple is replacing my launch day iPhone 7 as this happened to mine. I was able to finally restore after tying 30 times. But Apple Said there is something definitely wrong.
