    • Release Date — September 26, 2017
    Build Number — 15A402/15A403 (8/8Plus)
    Darwin Kernel Version — 17.0.0: Fri Sep 1 14:59:17 PDT 2017; root:xnu-4570.2.5~167/RELEASE_ARM64_S8000

    New Features & Changes

    New & Remaining Issues

    • When using the iOS Emoji keyboard in some apps (such as Twitter), the text entry field and submission buttons are obscured. You can enter emoji (but they are not visible), and then you must switch back to a standard keyboard to verify your text and to reveal the submit button.
    • 3D Touch animation stutter (iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 / plus )
    • Burst Mode saves as JPEG/.jpeg instead of HEIF/.heic (iPhone 7 Plus)
    • Home button delay still present (iPhone 7 Plus)
    • Cannot pull notification/lock screen down from the middle of the screen by using Reachability.
    • Calculator: lag on operator buttons prevents fast input (eg quickly typing 1+2+3 comes out as 1+23)

Anyone else just updating with iTunes lately? OTA takes SO LONG I haven't done an OTA update in ages.

iTunes is far faster, especially with a wired gigabit connection at work.

Yep, right off the bat, 8 Plus is much better, and it wasn't that bad to start with compared to my 7 Plus. (8Plus was set up as new though compared to update on 7Plus)

I hope this improvement extends to the 7 Plus too, which was a bit slow and stuttery. Still waiting for the second progress bar to finish :)

How's the home button lag on the 7? Is it back up to par with 10.3.3?

The Wi-Fi button still doesn't disable entirely the Wi-Fi repeater.:apple::apple:

I am not showing anything yet, do you need to remove dev profile to see it?

    Edit: I guess I do

Before anyone asks: Yes 3D Touch lag is still there. Must be solely security improvements as I’m not really noticing any changes so far.

That's called a "feature" or new UI function--not a bug.

so can someone test this? I can't update since my crappy battery life from 11.0.0 is keeping me from updating.

Open safari, press the home button to exit, open another app, press home button to exit, then open safari again. Does it stutter?

Appears to depend on the device. I can't test my Air 2 until this evening.

My wife's 8 plus still has the 3D Touch stutter, and doesn't seem any different or better than my 7 plus.
