That's a feature that can be toggled in Settings > Camera > Preserve Settings

Thanks for that, still seems to have a mind of its own. I have live photo turned off and it still comes on from time to time when using the camera and I've not bump it or turned it on by mistake. Still think there is something bugging out around this.

Thanks for the advice though.
[doublepost=1507658616][/doublepost]I was wondering why I had some Live Photo’s being captured. I figured I accidentally turned it on a couple times recently. Good to know it wasn’t me.[/QUOTE]

Likewise, still think its happening randomly. Another post suggests checking settings > camera > preserve settings however still seems to have a mind of its own.

I’m Glad they brought it back, I liked it that way, where you could quickly switch to the last app you were using. On another changed feature in iOS11, Does anyone hate the new voice dictation on the keyboard? It brings up a separate dictation interface that’s entirely unnecessary and adds a redundant step in the process. It doesn’t quite feel right to me, kinda un-Apple-ey.

In the second beta of iOS 11.1, Apple has reintroduced the 3D Touch App Switcher gesture on devices that are equipped with 3D Touch.

The feature was "intentionally removed" during the iOS 11 beta testing process and was not reimplemented ahead of the official iOS 11 launch, but Apple software engineering chief Craig Federighi promised it would be re-added in a future iOS 11 update.

In an email to a MacRumors reader, Federighi said the feature needed to be temporarily removed in iOS 11 because of technical issues. The gesture, first implemented in iOS 9, allows users with a compatible iPhone to 3D Touch at the left edge of the display to bring up the App Switcher. When it was pulled from the beta, many iPhone users were disappointed as it is a convenient method for switching between apps with a single gesture. Sans gesture, the only way to bring up the App Switcher on an iPhone is by a double press on the Home button.

iOS 11.1 beta 2 is currently available for developers, but a public beta should be coming later this week. We're still early in the beta testing process, so it's not yet clear when iOS 11.1 will see a public release.

Please help in fixing the battery issue before releasing these emojis and cosmetic changes . . I need to carry a power bank and a charger for that power bank . . Lol

Hopefully there will be some improvements. . . As almost everyone is facing battery problems after iOS 11 update

I'm not feeling very confident... but I'm experiencing a better battery life with this beta. My iPhone 7 is finally lasting all day long!
Yesterday the battery was 70% around 1PM. Today it's 80% at 11AM. Unplugged from the AC around 7.30/8 AM. :)

Also, yesterday evening I went sleeping with 12% of battery. I'm really glad for this change.

No, it really isn't lol.

You should learn to use 3D touch app switcher. I once thought as you did.

I have “learned” it. It’s still miles quicker to double click home button and tap app next to it. The 3D Touch app switcher requires a VERY concerted effort and is not instant. Traditional way is considerably faster. You should learn to use the home button.

:D

iPhone X will be faster, though.

I don't think double clicking is faster, but it is a FAR more natural thing to do than pushing my finger into a glass screen for Pete's sake.
Force Touch is just dumb, compared to Android's long press, IMO. (especially considering it makes the screen thicker, heavier, and harder to manufacture.)

I've got the 3D App switcher press down to a fine art. It's still not as fast (or consistent to pull off) as double-pressing the home button.

But hey, we can agree to disagree on that front. :D

I love this big argument over an optional gesture feature that literally affects nobody who is unaware or unwilling to use it but a nice bonus to those who are and will. Tried it out myself after getting back on the betas. I can see it being handy. I just have gone so long with the standard double click home that it may take a bit of retraining.

So glad this is coming back. It's honestly the one thing I hate about iOS 11. I was so irked when I found out they removed it. I catch my self all the time trying to press the edge to bring up the app switcher. It's just far more convenient for me personally. I was wondering, what the heck would it be like on the iPhone x? I think it would be extremely frustrating if this feature didn't exist.

Does it work on the iPhone X
