iOS 11.1 Beta 2 Brings Back 3D Touch App Switcher

ever since iOS 11 was released I've been having issues with Contact Names and my entire phone book. I deleted my device and reconnected. The phone book initially syncs, but after a few minutes the whole phone book disappears and all my numbers are left without contact names. Going into Phonebook, it is completely empty.. This is frustrating.. the car is a 2015 Acura TLX w/technology package. I've tried 11, 11.0.1 , 11.0.2 , 11.1 beta 1, 11.1 beta 2 and still having issues.

10.3.3 used to work flawlessly.

This is the cycle they are locked into. The issue is if they say go off and take a year to do nothing but polish they get dinged for can't innovate. Then the see google can do X Y Z even though they release them and they sit in the queue for device makers for up to 6 months before they ship while being improved on. I'd really like to see a stop to visual changes for a bit, let things stay the way they are (stop making UI's worse) focus on the bugs and whatever feature they want to add. In a perfect world I guess...
 
I think courage would be for Apple to add an app switcher and back button, like on most Android devices. With the all screen display of the iPhone X, they can be software buttons.
 
What Apple needs to bring back is decent battery life and quality.

I can’t believe how buggy ios 11 is. It’s robbed a lot of the joy for buying a new iPad Pro. Someone needs to tell Tim that this is what happened at Sony. More and more fetish designs which didn’t map to the real world, content considerations took over
 
One of those things, as with much related to 3D Touch, that was a bit of a gimmick. I said until I used it, I’ve really missed it since it went awol, downloading the beta now, which I was going to skip just to get this back.

Hmm that defines Beta: get early access, give free work (as feedback on any bugs).

Nicely, there’s no requirement that we give feedback, and this particular feature may present no bugs - so no biggie here, i sense.

Is this a joke? If not, it is it really to turn wifi off, or is it just to disconnect? Hard to tell from that picture of the button with the wifi logo as it means different things on different operating systems using the exact same graphic these days... (!)
 
With this beta, battery life, at least thus far, seems to be significantly better on my iPhone 7. The iOS 11 update really killed my battery life, so fingers crossed!
 
Did they add iCloud message sync to the beta? It worked so nice before they pulled it.
Wish it made it as a release feature.

While iOS 11 is very smooth on my 7plus—this is the first release where I could say the same about my iPad Air 2. Subjective and all… but pretty good so far.
 
Phone app home, messages, email, safari ALL on my iphone 6 show symptoms of trying to call home before opening. 5 seconds sometimes to go from white screen to messages
Wtf did they do to my phone with ios11
The infuriating thing is that its random
Today i was using the voice recording app. It stuttered then stopped and then refused to record. Airplane mode on and off and it works again
Is ios11 phoning back home everytime you launch an app now and waits for a response before launching? At least to me it feels like it

Can still downgrade to it on iPhone 6s (non Plus) if you have that device
