Seems pretty slick on all but phone where it needed a hard reset first. Now I’m thinking it’s pretty good.

Assistive Touch menu placement has changed - previously you could keep the assistive touch virtual home button anywhere on the screen and it's menu would pop up at the center of the screen.
In iOS 11.1, the menu pops up next to the virtual touch home button and not in the center.

Previous behavior was nice because you could keep the touch home button at the bottom (so that it doesn't block the content) and the menu would pop up in the center which was easily accessible position with your thumb. Now for the menu to be in the center, you have to keep the touch home button somewhere in the center along the edge thus blocking the content.

Screen mirroring is failing for me on a iPad Pro 10.5. While the screen will mirror, none of the full screen apps (e.g. PowerPoint) go into full display mode. It is like they don't know that mirroring is turned on. Not so with my iPhone 8, it works as it has (i.e. PowerPoint goes into full screen mode when requested).

<<Update>> Started working like it was meant to. No idea why. But I am grateful. Maybe it was the trick before the treat.

Battery has been better on 11.1 compared to 11.0.3 and I didn't have issues with 11.0.3.

My 7+ got 5-6 hours battery life on 11.0 through 11.0.3.

Battery improved when I installed 11.1 beta 2 a few weeks ago and kept improving through beta 5, which is the same as the public release of 11.1 today.

I’m now getting 9-10 hours consistently, sometimes a smidge more. Which is what I got under 10.3.3.

Also, 11.1 has been very smooth for me, no glitches other than the unbelievable calculator bug (which has finally been fixed in the first beta of 11.2).

I’m the unofficial tech support guy in my family. Before 11.1, I recommended my spouse and parents stick with 10.3.3 for a while. With the stable release of 11.1, I’m finally encouraging them to update.

Haven't had time to test Safari (...) but the interface as a whole seems much improved on my iPhone SE. Very fluid. Haven't used it beyond some quick emails/messaging, so cannot speak to battery or else.

Installed it on iPhone 6s Plus an hour ago.
Scrolling in Safari seems to be a bit quicker.
Haven’t seen any issues yet.

Installing it on 2017 iPad 9.7 right now.

Found first bug on iPhone and iPad.

This has to do with YouTube app that wasn’t there in 11.0.3.

When you swipe the video to the bottom right corner, the animation is horrible and stutters badly.

Edit.
I updated YouTube app right after installing iOS 11.1, so the stutter might be app related.

I Just updated my iPhone 8 Plus too.
Gotta get used to the “new” (to me) app switcher mode.
Everything seems smooth and quick so far.

This was the first thing I noticed when I downloaded beta 4/5 and something I've had to get used to. It was much nicer knowing it would be in the center of the screen every time. Now I have to pay attention to the location of assistive touch to know where the menu will appear when I tap it.

Have someone else this kind of problem? I've found this on any iOS 11 releases including 11.1. It's weird that the widgets doesn't stay in the "more"-mode so you can see the big widget. Every time you load them they open or close depending on how they were before. On 0:04 you can see that I press the "less" (weniger) button which must normaly "more" (mehr) because it was already less. After I pressed the button two times they are right. It's a weird bug... It's irritating. They should stay in the "more"-option so I can see the whole widgetview.
