Haven’t noticed any performance enhancements iPhone 7 Plus.

Edit: I have noticed a small bump in battery life.

This is the first time that I had to reboot my phone for video streaming to work after an iOS update.

I updated yesterday, and my iPhone 8 is getting crazy good battery life today, in the neighborhood of ~10% drain when I would normally see ~50%. Hopefully it keeps this up, and nothing is broken that should be working.

Any of you X owners noticed lag? I’ve had a lot of stuttering between the widgets screen and the home screen, as well as when typing in iMessage, and browsing in safari.. I suppose I’ll try to wipe and reinstall to see if that helps.

No issue on my friend’s X. You should put that bad boy in recovery mode and update again since it’s possibly a bad OTA.

I’m thinking that as well. Restoring via iTunes will do the same thing, right? Or should I toss it in DFU mode?

If you update using recovery mode, it will preserve your data and overwrite iOS system files if it’s corrupt. If you have the time to do a clean wipe, you can restore it either recovery or DFU. I would use DFU mode since it bypass boot loader and it was designed for downgrading and updating firmware.

Good to know, thanks. I’ll google the way to put the X in DFU. Haven’t had to do that yet.

There’s like 2 diff method for DFU mode for X. Easiest way is to connect to iTunes while powered on, quickly press volume up, volume down then press and hold side till it powered down, as soon as screen turn black press and hold volume down with the side for 5 seconds and release side button but continue holding volume down till iTunes detect it.

Can someone clarify or post a link explaining how the last iOS version as of February 22 works in terms of disabling wi-fi and bluetooth completely? In other words, AIRPLANE MODE. I used iOS 11 in another device but now I am not going to upgrade my IPP 10.5 (or at least I'll wait for a long time). I heard Airplane mode now works partially, since some devices like the Pencil can still use it, and at least in iOS 10.X if I enable Airplane mode I'll need to pair the Pencil again (this isn't the case with the Airpods).

I wonder if enabling Airplane mode in the last iOS 11 version is in any way different than doing that in iOS 10.X if we use this kind of device to measure it:

    Any thoughts?

    http://macintoshhowto.com/hardware/emf.html

    This link says the following:

Apple are making it harder and harder to lower your EMF exposure by reducing the users choice to disable WiFi.

    For example:

    • In the latest release of iOS 11 you can no longer turn off WiFi or Bluetooth from the iPhone Control Centre.
    • The new Apple Home Pod does not have an Ethernet port. It only works with wifi. (Google Home can be used with an Ethernet cable using the Chrome Ethernet adapter)
P.S. another thing that really bothers me is the pop-up that Apple sends every few minutes warning me that I am using Airplane mode, while I try to use certain apps. Unfortunately there's no way to disable this thing.

    Also, like I said here:
    https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/problem-with-ipp-10-5-and-earpods.2106653/#post-25831700

Once the Earpods are plugged we can't select the iPAD speakers. The only way to do that is if we use the AIRPODS. Another stupid limitation.

This has been the case since September. To fully disable wifi or Bluetooth you have to use either the Settings app or Siri. Airplane mode works as well. The other toggles in control center will only "temporarily disconnect" you without actually turning off the radios.
