Not me. The "raise to wake" feature is working as good as ever.
This does not always work for me. You have to really give it a decent acceleration to get it to activate. I'd prefer it if it just came on with a gentle pick up.

Not sure why some are having battery life issues on this beta. The battery on my 6s has been phenomenal, especially since 11.0.

Would you mind sharing what settings you use on your 6s? Like auto-brightness on/off, do you recalibrate your battery and things like that.
I’m using a 6s too, and getting really bad battery life.

Again, no issues. I can "snap" the phone up from horizontal to vertical or I can raise it slowly... either way, it never fails.

I concur. I just checked to make sure and it is possible to not trigger raise to wake, but at such a slow speed that I would never realistically encounter it. It's a feature I never, ever have any trouble with.

I have an issue on 11.1.2 where when the phone is locked, I sometimes don't get notification sounds. I have a suspicion that it has to do with a setting in Do Not Disturb, even though I don't have DND on. Can anyone confirm this sort of behavior on 11.2b4? Screenshot below showing suspected setting affecting this. Setting should only affect this when DND is ON, right?

Yes, that setting only applies when DND is enabled. Have you tried enabling and disabling DND? Perhaps restarting your device? Also, have you double-checked your silence/vibrate switch on the side of the phone?

Yes, I've tried all the above. Seems intermittent, but annoying nonetheless.

What is the exact procedure to do this? All I see in the settings are to change it to manual. How do you disable it?

At the top in settings for DND there's the main DND option that you can enable/disable. Alternatively there's the crescent moon icon in Control Center that you can enable/disable.

Auto brightness is always on, very few of my apps are using notifications, and most of my location services are off. I spent a good half hour going through all my settings, turning off things I never really use on my iPhone like handoff, Wi-Fi assist, iCloud Drive on cellular, and auto downloads on cellular. Plus, my WATCH takes a lot of the work away from the iPhone, so I’m sure that helps too.

Does youtube app still make clicking audio with this beta?

Seems as though that has resolved itself out. Beta 4 I had the clicking audio in the YouTube app when I first installed it the day it released. However the last few days without even a Youtube app update, it hasn’t been clicking for me anymore and back to normal.

WiFi assist is useful, at least to me.

Didn’t use my phone all that much today. 54% and at 4 hrs of usage and 10 hours standby. Looks like I have hit a barrier here. It won’t improve anymore until Apple changes things from their end. Disappointing battery life but just under a month to go before the X arrives.

Thinking of adjusting with the screen size for that awesome battery life and sell off my 7 Plus as at this rate I will end up paying for a battey replacement next year. Let’s see how it goes.

Doesn't help me much either (I'm still on 10). I would guess that with the big hubbub of "secret" "stolen" "rampant" cell data usage that the news reported in early days of the feature coming out encouraged Apple to tone down the parameters of what constituted weak wifi signal....

Just a guess.... because it doesn't work very often for me, even when Wifi is slow. Of course, YMMV, JMO, JMHO, MHO, and any other abbreviation one can attach to a statement like this around here. haha :D

Edit: oops. I read your post as "useless". Haha. Yeah, wifi assist can be helpful.

It never did kick in with “slow” WiFi but it did/does kick in when the connection gets weak. At least for me, my phone would hold onto my home WiFi network until I drove out of my neighborhood. That gave me constant problems when using Maps for navigation. No data would load so I couldn’t get any directions until I was already on my way on the road. When they introduced assist, the switch to the cell network happened much sooner. This was extremely useful for me and I never saw any measurable increase in data usage. Never did know what the complaints were about.

Did they fix the bug present in 11.1.2 I wrote about in this forum? (when trying to send a text to a contact accesed from Recents, you are taken to see all the texts instead a new text message to that specific contact)

You do realise that the X will get less battery life in most cases?

Over in the iPhone X thread I am seeing varied results but the worst scenario is the battery life I currently get on my 7 Plus while the best case scenario is a solid 12 hours of use with 14 hours standby something which is unachievable on my 7 Plus. In case if my 7 Plus the best case scenario is 7 hours and if I use it heavily it lasts 6 hours of use.

The average battery stats I’m seeing on the X is 6 to 8 hours usage time. I have a feeling you will be disappointed. Hopefully I’m wrong of course.

Yeah but my battery life is really bad though. That 7 hours of use isn’t through care free usage. As the percentage drops lower and lower the rate of drop in % per minute increases and once it gets below 50 it’s 1% a minute. I turn on low power mode to somehow extend it as I get nervous if it will die on me at 2 PM.

I haven’t used my phone at all today. Just some calls and e-mails and light half hour gaming. This is the result. Dead by 5 pm. Off the charger at 8 am.
