Anyone (who has been able to get their hands on an iPhone X) been able to test if iOS 11.2 Beta is available on the phone?

Just so that if not, I will have to downgrade my iPhone 7 plus back to iOS 11.1 before being able to move that backup over to the iPhone X when I get my hands on it later.

Thanks.

As mentioned in the beta speculation thread. There is no profile/.ipsw for the iPhone X. Meaning it probably won’t be available until at least beta 2. Same thing happened with iPad 10.5”. I would downgrade your phone now. Or, probably easier. Just set up the X as new.

Yes. It's not available. I'm stuck without a way to restore from backup AND (since I'm a registered developer), I can't use my Apple Watch, either... (I updated both... :/)

Such is the risk of being on the betas, I suppose. But still, WOW.

Thanks for the replies.

I just tried my luck by downloading the iOS 11.1 ipsw, using iTunes, alt + check for update, choose the 11.1 ipsw, and it works...

So now my iPhone 7 Plus is back on 11.1, and good to go...

But delete the developer profile, restart the phone before you go ahead with downgrading.

Actually, YES! It works! I restored my iPhone X to 11.1 and used an iCloud backup from October 31st. I was able to pair my Apple Watch Series 3 on watchOS 4.2 with my iPhone X on 11.1.

Would be interested to hear if you have any issues throughout the day.... things like missing notifications or any other "funnies"

Anyone else having this issue?

I installed the developer beta profile but I’m not seeing iOS 11.2 when I check for updates.

In fact, it’s not even showing an iOS 11.1 update - it says my software is up to date with 11.0.1

I’ve tried a hard restart and still nothing...

Delete the beta profile reboot and the 11.1 update will show up. There may not be a public beta for 11.2 on iPhone X at this time.

I don't believe this but there is no 11.2 beta for the X at this time. So those of us who have it on our old phones are screwed as we cannot restore our backups.

I truly can not believe that Apple would put out a new flagship level phone and not have prepaired a version of every released software for it. That is just nuts. In any event thanks for the work around.

This is a beta, it's not released software.
Makes no difference. I fully understand that Apple asks that we not run the betas on production hardware but they are fully aware that many people do. This should not be a issue. How much do you want to bet that the next beta will be out at 1:00PM eastern today and fix this issue. Then it will only suck for us who are early with our phones.

Remove the profile and you should be able to get 11.1.

And yet (unfortunately) there is a difference nonetheless.

Didn’t happen for the 10.5 iPad. Highly unlikely it will happen for the X.

Blunt but true.

In the meantime, if you still have access to your old device you can shift/option downgrade to 11.1 with iTunes and make a backup from there.

I hope so, since I ran a backup of my 7 which was on Beta 2, turned it in through the iphone upgrade program and now can't restore my backup to my IPX. Effing brilliant, Apple!
