feel free to post and chime in how its compared to 11.1.x or .2, or even for those early production units with 11.0.1 if your X shipped with that.

Whatever you prefer

--

on what metric you may ask? battery life, bugs, experience, etc. all rolled up in one for your overall impression,

or whatever you perceive/value when using iOS

No issues, but nothing to compare it to. Upgraded from 11.1 to 11.2 as soon as I got the phone home from the Apple store. Thankful I missed the whole random rebooting thing before 11.2.

More than actual problems or things that don’t work, I’m disheartened by the sloppiness of things, like typing a search term in Settings and seeing multiple identical results.

On 11.1.2, my wife’s new iPhone 8 decided to try to download 18gb worth of iTunes Match music, permanently crashing the Music app and Settings>Music. We got hit for the data by AT$T but didn’t actually get a single song downloaded.

I had her update to 11.2 but it won’t install until iCloud restore is complete. But we did the restore days ago.

Messy.

can someone try turning off FaceID, (easier to re-enable and re-scan), and do passcode only

and input the passcode from lock screen like a dozen times or so

does it still crash every handful like 11.1.x?

Silly irritating bug users have picked up on that have FaceID disabled (I don't, but)

Smoother, Face ID is quite a bit faster for me.
The bar for the control center looks kind of stupid.

Don’t care about the cash thing because nobody else has access to it. What’s the point of a payment service nobody can accept? Obviously this will change in the future, I’m just talking about the here and now.

I don't notice any performance differences. There is a bug in the haptic feedback (audible clicks) under some circumstances. It's a bug and there's a thread here on it. I use my phone exclusively on silent with vibrate so I didn't notice it until I saw the thread. Otherwise, no observed issues.

It was really buggy for me the first 24 hours or so, but now it’s stabilized. It was so bad that I thought I was going to have to factory reset my phone but now I’m happy.

I voted par. I never noticed anything before or after the 11.2 update. When someone says something is going wrong, I check mine to see if it affects me. Still no. I was very reluctant to update because of battery and bugginess reports, but I haven't noticed anything. Which brings me to my normal conclusion: what the hell is everyone talking about? Still hoping they bring back battery %.

All i really want in an update is for them to fix the blank artist pictures in the music app.

Should it be Tim Cook’s Face?

I never noticed UNTIL NOW. Don’t care for the mic haha

Are others noticing improved Face ID? Wondering if that’s a 11.2 benefit

That stupid mic annoys me to no end. There is no reason why we shouldn't be able to use a backup picture instead of the mic. Forget tim cook - i'd settle for Tom from MySpace.

The only annoying quirk is that the Siri App Suggestions are really random at the moment. Hoping that they improve with usage a little. Kind of a handy feature when it's working.

Something I am noticing and not sure if it is this ios or not. If I am on the phone with someone and try and shrink the window down it disappears and doesn't look like they are even still on the phone but they are. I tapped tapped tapped on the screen and it came back up. Now that is weird

Shrink the window? Do you mean basically leave the Phone app? What does "doesn't look like they are even still on the phone but they are" mean exactly? And tapped tapped tapped where?

It's been good for me from the beginning. I never noticed any bug issues or abnormal battery dairy.

battery seems to be a lot better for me and it doesnt get hot when im on it..so far everything is going well!
