iOS 11.1.x were very bad on the X?

It nearly killed two of my iPads running 11.1.2 on Saturday... My iPhone was fortunate in not having the problem.. I can't say it's not very bad :-|

It also affects the X if you have repeating local notifications from third party apps.
But this is about iOS 11.2 (on the X) which doesn't have the issue. Or are you saying it's automatically better for basically any device on iOS 11 simply because the issue isn't there?

Yes and I was talking about how 11.2 is better than 11.1.x that's why I brought it up.
So in a sense it's not that 11.1.x updates were very bad, simply that one single bug in them that appeared at the end spoiled them.

The [?] bug on 11.1 was legendary historical embarrassing

its effect is still felt at times, in tweets and such haha

this poll is looking promising so far on the upside, most having a good experience!

Embarrassing perhaps, but in the sense of comparisons between 11.2 and earlier versions, if we were simply going to go by a handful bugs of that nature then it seems like we wouldn't really need a comparison type of thread since a newer version would automatically be better as it doesn't have those issues and that would be that.

From using iOS 11.0 on iPhone 8 briefly for a weekend (not attributed to being 8, but 11.0 iOS iPhone), it was a friggin nightmare. Worst since iOS 7, imo

X pretty smooth for a shipping iOS version, MINUS that [?] bug that reared its head.

and to go down nostalgia lane, iOS 7 was so bad I jailbroke on a 7.1 beta and removed expiration bc I couldn't deal with 7.0 soul crushing bugs on my 5, instabilities, etc.

High Sierra?

Its high. I can't remember the last terrible release that bad either. Lion? I don't even know. Especially after beloved Snow Leopard king.

Shrink the window? Do you mean basically leave the Phone app? What does "doesn't look like they are even still on the phone but they are" mean exactly? And tapped tapped tapped where?

If I swipe up to google something while talking on the phone. On my se you always saw a green bar at the top. (BTW: I am talking on bluetooth or speaker) now when I do this to look at the phone there is nothing. I was tapping the screen but did tap the clock at the top last night and that seemed to work a couple of times, but not every time.

Gotta say that little bar under the control centre in the lock screen looks totally whack!

We don’t need it anyway - please remove for next version!

Smoother, Face ID is quite a bit faster for me.
The bar for the control center looks kind of stupid.

Don’t care about the cash thing because nobody else has access to it. What’s the point of a payment service nobody can accept? Obviously this will change in the future, I’m just talking about the here and now.

I agree about FaceID. It is actually working while I lay down at an angle, which is something it struggled with for me personally.

What do you mean about cash? It is really good for peer to peer payments. I mostly made everyone I know download squarecash since no one ever had cash. This is actually easier since it is baked right into the OS. For example, at work one person can order food and everyone can just "apple pay" the person.

Nobody I know has cutting edge Apple products, or apple products at all.

So, I'm assuming since 78% give it 4 or 5 stars out of 5 that not everyone with the X is getting the weird haptic feedback bug with a loud noise when dismissing control center or reachability?

I'm finding that 11.1.2 is working great for me and I'm afraid to upgrade.
