Fixed messages app. Had to totally log out of iCloud. Be sure you save local backups of contacts etc to your phone. Once I logged back in, I got my messages app working again.

I had to downgrade back to 11.2.5 cause message app was not responding for an hour. My messages are gone. I guess they still in the iCloud. How do i get them back

You’ll need to update again to 11.3.

Can you now swipe to delete conversations without getting the iCloud prompt?

Answering my own question, whereas on b1, my iPhone 5s was left unable to connect to WiFi, or even tether to iTunes, everything seems normal so far with b2 on both the phone and iPad Air.

The capacity is almost never 100% even with new batteries. I’d say your 95% is normal.

Def not. Only iPhone X and 8 needs 12.7.x. And actually, I kinda envy you that your iTunes version is capped at 12.6. I hate all changes made in 12.7.

Have you tried iTunes 12.6.3? It offers all the compatibility of 12.7, but all the older features of 12.6, and you won't be badgered about updating to 12.7.x.
