Mine are different, Usage < Standby. However, battery life is definitely worse than 10.3.3 during usage.

It's a beta. It's going to be worse than 10.3.3.

I feel like a broken record.

Battery life on my 10.5 has been very good for a beta, over 12 hours usually and 72 standby on average.

Since it’s beta, bad battery life usually has to do with a certain setting or app causing issues due to apps not being optimized for iOS 11

So it depends on individual usage.

Please check battery in settings and click the clock icon to see % of usage including background activity.

I had an app have 12 min. On screen and 8 hours of background activity...

Yeah, battery life is like an old 3 year old battery, you open an app with a custom keyboard, and you're suddenly down to 35% and 25% by the time you find the cable to charge it.

They're just bugs.

Battery is very bad on my air 2 as well. Just in standby mode, I was on 70% before going to sleep, and it was at 10% 8 hours later, and 1% when I send a SMS lol.

Battery life is one of the worse I see so far even for a beta.

I know it is a beta and I expect the battery to drain but my 7 plus has been doing really well after the first couple of hours running the beta yesterday. The first few hours it went down big time then stopped dropping and settled down. I charged it up and it ran like normal. I am guessing there are some background file conversion tasks and things happening that need to settle down after an install.

Same issue on my Air 2. My device is running 70% CPU 24/7. I downloaded Xcode and found a bunch of processors running at high CPU. But restarts don't solve the issue. This is definitely a cause of bad battery life. It appears the only way to "attempt" to fix it is a restore as new. But there is a bug with my erase all settings and content button. It doesn't work!

That is what betas are for, figuring out what needs to be fixed.

Can you give me any tips you have done so get back to normal battery life when being on beta 2

My battery life has been fine (I can still get through a day on a single charge) on my 7, but standby and usage times are the same.

I thought I’d fixed the problem twice. Apparently I was wrong. My last shot was to erase everything and start over, but “erase all content and settings” doesn’t work.

Don't bother restoring your device. After 2 hours of messing around and restoring it as new. The issue remains on my device.

Yes, worse battery life on my 10.5” iPad Pro, but that’s to be expected.

More to your point, OP, yes my usage and standby numbers are the same.

I do not think we can tame the battery drain problem and the best is to sit this out until the next beta. All the suggestions doesn't seem to work or only work temporarily before the drain comes back. It is as though this beta was meant to drain your battery hmm....

Having issues with my 7 as well since starting with the public beta version. I don't make it a full day. Even when it's just in standby it just drains. Hoping this will improve.
