Finally bit the bullet and decided to upgrade to iOS 11 beta 8 from 10.3.3. Now Carplay and Bluetooth is completely broken in my 2017 VW Golf. Tried a factory reset on the VW head unit and that didn't work. I didn't try resetting network settings on the phone. Anyone else's Carplay broken in iOS 11?

I remember hearing a guy with a Honda infotainment system that wasn’t working with CarPlay, so you’re not alone there. I’m sure there are other people in the same boat.
I have some problems connecting with my 2017 Vw polo, it gives me an error and tells me to unlock the phone and try again, the phone is unlocked and it’s not required to be unlocked to connect. If I reboot (hold the power button to the Vw logo is displayed) I can connect again.
My 6s works just fine with my 2017 Accord EX. CarPlay, Siri Eyes Free... Bluetooth only or plugged in... it all just works. (shrug!)
Apple replied back to me and said this issue was resolved in beta 10. Installed it today and what do you know - it’s resolved!
My wife's 2017 Tiguan with CarPlay is working perfect on IOS11. I imagine you have the same system? Strange if so.
I got a strange problem after upgrading to iOS 11 with my 2016 Passat. The bluetooth connection is okay for calling, but playing any source of music starts for some seconds, then the car volume is lowered to zero which pauses the playback on iPhone. I turn the volume up, it plays for some seconds and then back to zero volume..
