A rumor suggests that there’ll be another iOS release prior christmas. The HomeKit fix is not solved completely. We also might see a new watchOS and tvOS. macOS might ship pretty close now as it only contains drivers and such things.
Apple is currently only bug fixing. The anticipated 11.3 might be delayed. The reason why Apple shipped ios 11.2.5 betas is because of the anticipated start of Apple Pay Cash in Canada/Eurozone, HomePod (AirPlay2). Do not expect to much features in this beta cycle

I hope so, I’m getting my mom a philips hue starter kit. Her first HomeKit compatible device, so I want no issues with it.
another ios release means 11.2.5 beta 2 or something else!
does it also mean features would likely come in 11.3?

It's possible there is no 11.3 because they don't feel the changes from hereon in are worth the .x change.
Seems like there's been discussion of that over the last page or so of this thread (and the 11.2.5 beta release one).

If anything it means we can't really expect much one way or another. Things will happen as Apple makes them happen.

If it's true month 13 will be triggered in January then we need an update to address that as well.
Why would we get a new beta a day after one has just came out?

I am more interested in 11.2.5 Beta 2, as Beta 1 is great. Don’t want to wait until New Year, but not sure they risk another update before Christmas...

As mentioned already in the thread. 11.2.2, 11.2.3 and 11.2.4 are going to be quick releases. Hence the reason why 11.2.5 was put into beta. We won’t get another beta for a new version until after 11.2.5 is done testing.
Well, 11.2.1 was without a beta (as have many other bug fix releases).
What day does Apple close up for the holidays? I’m guessing they’d want to get another build out before closing up.
