By the time it's available in Hong Kong I think we will have Apple Watch Series 99
It's good idea

I thought it was based in Ireland?Which makes sense, since it was released by a US-based company.
I'd say so, especially as India has such a high rate of heart disease.Would they release for india?
We all know 1-channel ECG is just a feature not a real medical device.
But let us step into poetry:
"they don't let you play, you don't need to pay"
Where is wOS 5.2? I though it would launch today?
AirPods page states watchOS 5.2 is required, so I wonder why they didn't release it yesterday. People will start receiving their new AirPods today and it'd be bad to experience problems while switching from the iPhone to the Watch.
As for the news, I'd be happy to try ECG in my country but I didn't buy a series 4 for that reason, so even if I'll have to wait it isn't a big deal.
It’ll better come to Europe soon.. it was such a big part of the marketing for the new watch, I’ve had it for half a year now and couldn’t use this feature because of European health regulations..
You can currently use the sensor to improve heart rate readings in the heart rate app. Just place your finger on the sensor once the app is loaded.Hoping to see Canada included as well... The sensor has been useless on my wrist....
The page states either iOS 12.2 or watchOS 5.2 is required. So I'm guessing they can postpone watchOS 5.2 to whenever, since iOS 12.2 is out and the AirPods thus supported by that.
That's a good thing. Things should be released when the relevant regulatory bodies approve it, not when Apple say so.
Good, now all the complaining about US-only release can stop. Wonderful.
That's a nonsensical comparison. Also, you didn't pay for the feature. You paid for the watch knowing that it didn't have the feature. This is merely one feature fixed, there is still plenty of other features not released world wide which customers have paid for.
I wonder if an american would keep their BMW if it turned out that the backseat is a feature to be installed in the future...?
We’ll find out shortly but I doubt it’s that straight forward. One of the touted new features is easier hand-off between devices. I would expect to need to update the software for both devices involved in the hand-off before getting that benefit. The page states either iOS 12.2 or watchOS 5.2 is required. So I'm guessing they can postpone watchOS 5.2 to whenever, since iOS 12.2 is out and the AirPods thus supported by that.
I run a dev version of 5.2 on my watch and hoping it would work....but alas no....suppose will have to wait for the full release version to enable it
I can confirm that it has shown up in the health app for me in Sweden. Do we dare to hope for the update today?
Hoping to see Canada included as well... The sensor has been useless on my wrist....
Just out of curiosity, does Telenor offer visual voicemail in Denmark? It's closing in.
Here in Demmark, Telenor will start selling Watch Series 4 on Friday, offering eSIM as well from the same day.
I currently have a Telenor subscription on my iPhone XS here, and when opening my Watch app and checking the network status, it says I just need to update my watch to be able to use eSIM functionality.
So, any day it seems.
AWS3 here, I was tempted to upgrade to AWS4 but will wait until ECG release in Canada.
