Apple News users:

Where did the "Open in Safari" option go in the Share Sheet? Has that been removed? I can't remember if I enabled that somewhere or Apple removed it in iOS 12.

If so, is there a Shortcut, perhaps, to get the original URL for a news article, you know, for the billions of people who don't have an Apple device?

///

EDIT: never mind, it's still here in iOS 12! Just the first story I wanted to share in Apple News was somehow missing the link.

At least for iPhone X, IOS 12 now kills apps by slowly swiping upward till app is shrunk then flick up instead of having to pause and wait for the red dot with the white minus sign..

If I should ever upgrade to iOS 12 did they fix the problem when you turn off wifi and Bluetooth is it really is off?
Yes if you turn off BT and wifi they are really off. If you just disable/disconnect it in control center, it just disconnects temporarily same as iOS 11.

Anyone experiencing this bug in the HEALTH APP? Data is not being updated. I have to close the health app and open it again for it to be updated. iOS 11 did not have this problem. Anyone experiencing the same?
Yup - wrote about that. Of I have to change date and back again to today to get today's updated data

Good grief, you would think Apple would have caught this!

My battery is at 8% but Siri says it’s 100%. :(

Anyone talking about this yet?
Portrait multi-tasking is still a total joke on iPad in iOS 12.

Why Apple puts two long-skinny apps side-by-side, when it would be actually useful to have them top/bottom... I have no words.

It looks so bad, I thought it was a bug in iOS 10, but nope still there in iOS 12. Very frustrating.

My battery drained 8% while on airplane mode. Is a clean install worth it? Haven’t done one since 11.4.

Here might be your battery issue ...
I asked my 8+, via Siri, how's my battery. She said my 8+ Red was 100% and my Apple Watch was 100%. Phone is actually 84% and watch is 100%.
I right swiped into widgets and that is what the phone showed, 100/100, in widgets. Widgets then updated after a couple of seconds to 84/100.
I swiped back to the Home screen and asked Siri again. This time she got it right.

I wonder if Siri is reporting what the Widget is reporting?

That explains it.

I am under the impression that a device running iOS 12 that doesn't have any passcode or touch ID being used is not working properly with iOS 12. I'll explain: mine is accessible for anyone that grabs it since I don't keep any sensitive data in it. And I have configured my IPP 10.5 to lock after 15 minutes (to prevent the battery from being wasted in the event closing the cover doesn't work), and when I close the Smart Cover.

Meaning that after a while not using the device (or after I reopen the Smart Cover) then it's accessible again. I don't have to press the Home button to continue using, or swipe up.

The thing is: I noticed that at random moments I need to do that. Let's say, it happens once every 100 times. Why? In all other attempts I am sent to where my icons are.

Could this be a bug?

I have a badge on my Settings icon indicating that I have a software update to install... but according to Settings > General > Software, I am running the latest version of iOS... it showed up on my iPhone 8+ some time last week, and now got carried forward to my iPhone XS Max. Anyone know how to remove the badge?
