Dumbest thing since lack of copy and paste in iOS1.
And even more annoying.
Please, please, please!

How about stability? Or improved battery life? Or optimization for devices that are, otherwise, too old to be running that version of iOS as comfortably as say a device that is, say, one or two years newer?

All I want, and, really, all I ever want, is for a completely transparent dock. That’s it. Don’t get me wrong, I genuinely like some of the ideas thrown out in this thread. But a transparent dock has been something I’ve been looking towards for a while, and, semigly, would require very little work to implement.

Wouldn't it be too cool if for just one major version they solicited feature and bug fix requests and then just went down the list from most requested on down and made it happen? No new Apple inspired stuff, just user voted stuff only. You know just letting the actual users determine what they want for once.

Seeing this wishlist makes me so relieved I switched to Android. I no longer to have to deal with Apple's stubbornness and can make my phone exactly how I want it.

How about Photos and videos been displayed in landscape mode when you hold your phone in landscape mode and being presented in portrait mode you hold your phone and portrait mode. The camera would captured photos and video in both modes regardless of how you hold your phone.

I would like them to fix the issue where it says I'm still connected to my WiFi when I'm a block away from it (and no, it's not switching to another WiFi).

The only feature I really want is to make sure when music is playing it takes precedence over other apps.
I’m sick of going into twitter app and the music just stops. Happens with a few apps I have and websites too.
It’s ****ing annoying.

Dark mode - Unsurprisingly, a system wide dark mode for iOS is one of the most hoped for features for iOS 12, just as it was for iOS 11 and iOS 10. Apple users have wanted a true dark mode for years, but there's no word that it's coming in iOS 12.

I’m a fan of a B&W desktop when it’s done with appropriate contrast. I prefer it to the Skittles diarrhea that iOS allows.

Check out the OS GUI of the Blloc phone!

I used to achieve a similar appearance using the Grayscale mode that was available in the accessibility settings. Unfortunately, it prevented me from seeing color content within apps. Blloc, on the other hand, allows color content while preserving the monochromatic palette for the desktop and OS elements.

When you look at your message history, whether it's on iOS or MacOS, you can't tell if you sent the last message or received the last message without opening the specific contact by selection.

That's just stupid.

On the phone, the Music app should support landscape! Why? Because in landscape, you get true stereo music. But while that sounds good, it doesn't look good, because everything is sideways!

This is another boneheaded thing. Needs fixed; looks amateur as is.
[doublepost=1527028794][/doublepost]Here's another simple one. Force a 720 landscape orientation video even while holding the phone upright.

Upright video should be the forced exception, not the default.

I love how everyone does their here’s what I want to sew in the new iOS....2 weeks before WWDC. Both Rene Ritchie and Jason Snell just did something similar. Hey guys how about 6 or 9 months earlier when if Apple sees it they might take it into consideration? What good does it do now when the feature set is locked? Other than raise expectations that Apple of course won’t meet.

I love this idea in theory, but in practice, this is Apple we're talking about. User input means next-to-squadoosh with them.

Night shift button and colour temperature adjustment (by way of force touch/long press) in Control Centre!

But really I don’t trust Apple to maintain speed and battery life on older devices any more, so it’s the first year I won’t update any of my devices. Apple lost me with iOS 11.
