I’ve thought of another feature I’d like.

Device list in personal hotspot

I use the hotspot quite a bit. Quite a few devices sometimes. However I lose track of what’s connected. I’ll turn the hotspot on and several devices will connect.

I’d love a list in the hotspot screen showing what devices are connected. Their hostnames, time connected, data in/out maybe, and a kick button.

How about forcing the camera into landscape before it can take a photo or video so we can finally rid the internet of those horrible bars on either side of the shot? People are clearly never going to grow intelligent enough to figure that out on their own, so I think it's time we force it upon them for the good of the world.

Because there are times where portrait is better.
[doublepost=1527597592][/doublepost]- Get rid of the swipe to answer a call. Just give me a Answer and a Decline buttons
- Just kill Maps already. It still doesn't work.
- Fix or kill Siri.
- Add a timer to DnD. When I go to an event, I want to be able to set DnD for x hours.
- Aspect ratio on the Camera

Apple Music Feature Needed: Collaborative Playlists

Right now you can share a playlist, but you can't have multiple contributors. Spotify allows this. My friends and I have a collaborative playlist on Spotify. It allows us to add songs that we're listening to that we think each other might like. It's nice way for now long-distance friends to stay in touch.

Apps across all products are now laid out consistently in the Watch honeycomb pattern

The screen blur effect on volume changes will now temporarily affect the entire screen rather than a small area in the center

Actually more seriously - what do so many people apparently dislike about the volume UI? I could understand people not liking the UX (not knowing if the button is changing app, ringer, or Siri volume)... but the pop-up?

Notification text size has changed to a 24 pt font, and notification popups have tripled in size to accommodate the new easier-to-read notifications.

Careful what you wish for :D

I don’t mind the volume as it is on the home screen but while in an app it can be a bit intrusive...

I really would like to be able to pair a mouse to my iPad pro. I use a VDI to access a Windows environment for work. I got so frustrated without a mouse that I went and bought a cheap Samsung tablet. Despite it being a cruddy tablet, it works way better as a Virtual PC. Please Apple just let me pair a mouse....at least to the pro model!!

Why not just use a Windows tablet if you need to run Windows?

I don’t need to run windows. I need to access my VDI which I can even do with a chromebook. I love the iPad for everything except being able to use a mouse with it. I bought the Android tablet and hate it for everything except being able to run my VDI. Apparently there is a mouse that somehow works with the VM Ware Horizon software. I may buy that and give it a try. The mouse is expensive, but cheaper than the crappy android tablet.

As the first poster said,

for iPhone:

Definitely would like to watch videos in landscape without having to toggle the locked screen.

Better Battery life controls

And definitely the option to permanently shut off WiFi in control center.

For iPad:

Not sure why my iPad Pro heats up while I am drawing in Proecreate (only Procreate, Photos and bluetooth are on), but it never did that in iOS 10.

Also, lots of crashing in apps and safari since I upgraded to 11.3

So fix the bugs please.

Oh boy, where do I begin. iOS has gone through so many changes over the years, I have to say that iOS 11 is one of my least favorite updates.

Here is my list of features to add, change, or remove:

iPhone
  • Remove the "Messages" huge top indicator when I am in iMessages. I know I'm in iMessages, I don't need to be told or have it waste that much of the screen space. Remove the same indicator in my mail 'Inbox".
  • Go back to the swipe left to delete in iMessages. I hate the two step process they added.
  • Notification Sync across devices. My most requested feature.
  • Swipe to remove/dismiss notifications.
  • Compile app notifications.
  • I'd like to see a notification indicator in the top bar so I know I have notifications, like the Apple Watch red dot. There are many times I have my iPhone open on my desk listening to music, and because I have it open, I won't get the notifications on my Apple Watch. I also easily miss notifications if I'm not looking. It would be great to see a simple dot like the Apple Watch to know I received something.
  • Make the headphones icon in the top bar look like the AirPods when listening with AirPods. Apple should easily be able to do this and is usually the small details they get right.
  • Close the app Folder after I close the app I opened. I hate then when I open an App from a folder, it sends me back to the folder when I close the app. I pretty much never need to be back in the folder afterwards.
  • I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature: but when I want to create a new message in iMessages, when I search for a person, it lists group chats options first, before the individual person. Sometimes I can't even see the individual person's phone as an option. I have to go to their contact info and start a message from there. it's very annoying.
  • Just add a row for numbers on the keyboard. Screens are big enough now to afford the space. It's annoying to have to keep changing keyboards to get numbers when I am trying to enter passwords or addresses.
iPad

  • I might be in the minority, but I really don't like the new multitasking, split-screen, and slide-in implementation of iOS 11. I found the slide in much more responsive before iOS 11. Now I have to bring the dock up, swipe the app I want to the slide in. And it never goes away or comes out as quick and smooth as it did before. I never know if the app is waiting there either, to be swiped out. Before it just always had the option and I could change the app with thing the slide-in window. I used that all the time before for iMessages and emails. Now i never do it because it's several extra steps.
  • Notification Sync - again.
