You can still downgrade to iOS 13.2.3. Hurry! My RAM issues (XR) have subsided a bit since installing this update, but I've noticed another issue: Standby drain. Normal battery life while using the phone is good as normal, but standby drain is a mess. Really wish I could downgrade to 13.2.2 or 13.1.3.
You can still downgrade to iOS 13.2.3. Hurry!
Oh damn. I didn’t know that (or didn’t remember it). I thought they were too busy on holidays to stop signing versions.Apple stopped signing 13.2.3 on Dec 20.
i was ready to go for 13.3 (from ios 12 latest) but reading comments here.....Nope, not yet.
Anyone get a phone call bug like I have been getting? IOS 13.3 but I believe it happened in previous versions as well.. I have all of my devices set up to answer phone calls. Well when I get a phone call, all of my devices ring (iPad, MacBook Pro, iPT) and NOT my phone. Like I’d even tap the screen on my phone to see if it’ll eventually ring but doesn’t. So I have to answer the call on another device and my phone is just sitting here.
Anyone else have an issue where taking a photo with the camera app causes a bunch of apps to reload? Or is that just something that happens due to all the processing the camera app has to do? Kind of embarrassing, either way.
After upgrade to IOS 13.3. My iPhone XS (GREY BLACK) was a totally nightmare.
My battery keep on draining keep on bugging me, even it's on standby mode. I attempt to restore via iTunes in DFU mode, without any luck.
- Battery health is at 93 %, and I feel the phone is overheating after the upgrade
- After restore 'Face ID is not Available' You can set up Face ID Later when iPhone cool down
Even if I manage to set up the Face ID successfully, it's intermittent working. Messaged reflect on the 'Face ID will be available, when iPhone cool down'
I pop into apple store on 31st December 2019, they claimed hardware is all perfectly fine. But detected error in the sensor issue. They cannot promise me by changing the battery will resolve this issue, it can be damage of the circuit board or Face ID hardware, after firmware upgrade. They also denied downgrade the firmware version.
- I disabled face ID function, the battery keep on draining.
Counter staff having poor knowledge from technical perspective, unable to attention to my queries and attempt to cover up the story by up selling their new products only
To conclude this drama, the in store staff unable to rectify and confirm with me, by changing hardware or battery will resolve the issue. They remain silent and denied the software issue.
They even ask me to fork out 800 bucks to get the phone a replacement change. How I wish I could revert back right now
Just request an warrants exchange for another one. Tell them it’s defective. Show the rep proof and that’s it.
Just lead with that.
Warranty is over, I get the day when it's launched. Its only 1 year 3 month old. They can't do anything.
That is unfortunate. Since that is the only way to keep the device secured, I would trade it in for a new device. However, it means spending $$ to either upgrade or downgrade unless there’s a less costly repair to replace the Face ID. I had an issue one time after updating iOS on older device where the NFC chip had failed and would get constant error after a reboot stating Apple Pay is unavailable. Warranty had ended so I traded it in just so I can give their defective product back to them and save the gift card for future upgrade. It was a testing device and I made a profit from the trade in so win-win for me 😂
Replacing the battery will not fix your draining issue because of the failed sensor. However, there’s a possibility you’ll get a replacement iPhone if they botch your battery replacement or a nice rep decides to. I had one of my out of warranty device replaced from battery replacement.
Even failed sensor, does not help to explain battery draining issue on standby.
You are certainly correct by changing battery will not help, I used the phone normally browsing and social media. The battery can last me 5-6 hour without any problem.
I figure out the auto brightness unable to turn off in accessibility anymore.
There is no True-Tone function to turn off neither. This help to explain why battery non stop draining, if my sensor having issue.
Will that be a possible of software bug on IOS overheating, with everyone here complaint on battery draining and leads to FaceID failure??
My 11” iPad Pro has Face ID as well... Does that mean that, if I update my iPad, I will risk myself to suffer this Face ID failure? I really want to update but all the nightmares I read here...
Sure it can. If the sensor always thinks it has to be on ... even though it is "off" in the settings ... the fact remains it is defective; hence, it could be continually scanning ... though defective ... but still using battery nonetheless.
Who knows.
Sounds like the poster sadly has to start shopping for a new device.
AirPlay and screen mirroring not working with ios13.3 xs max and my samsung q70 tv, do you have the same issue? Its really strange!!!!
