Today I have 234 tabs 'open'. Makes no difference to anything.

I think a lot of people (including myself) are using tabs as reminders for stuff.
Right. On a Mac, I have several browser windows, each acting as a "space".

One window will have tabs for all the known cases that I am working on.

One window maybe vacation planning.

One window for emails and similar.

And so on.

I am surprised that none of the major desktop browsers offer more robust tab management (reading list doesn't count). I would love an option for automatically organizing tabs -- move certain tab to related browser window and deduplicate (iOS 13 and macOS 10.15 have switch to tab option, which is nice but not the same thing).

Is there some fundamental reason why mobile devices can’t have a grid of 12 or 15 thumbnails that you scroll through? Safari as it stands already loads nearly full screen thumbnails, so it’s not a memory thing. Both iOS and Android have terrible management of tabs in their browsers.
