For most people, it means quicker launches as the enter key on the keyboard is easier to tap while searching that moving your finger up the screen and tapping the icon.
It’s also a
very noticeable difference on iPadOS with an external keyboard attached, since you don’t have to take your fingers off the keyboard to reach up & tap the icon.

There are some really nice additions that make HomeKit more convenient:
1) Inside the app itself, all smart items that are currently active appear in a row across the top of the home screen, allowing for easy control from one place:
2. Holding down on the HomeKit icon in Control Center now pops up a full screen platter which shows much more information than in previous versions of iOS:
3. Favorite devices from my home automatically appeared in control center has their own icon!
4. Within a room, multiple active devices of like type get grouped into a single icon in the top row. This means I can now turn off all the lights in a room with a single tap:
My biggest issue with the Home app has always been how cumbersome it was to quickly make simple changes. All of these tweaks are awesome!
