I am not sure what you are arguing. What changes do you want to see?

I am stating that Apple doesn’t want deeper integration of services it doesn’t control. You seem to want the difference. What exactly do you need on top of what you already have?

I don’t care how many people use free data mining email or other google services. The apps are out there, do it if you want. It doesn’t change the name of the game no matter what you call it.

And businesses built on the back of an ad company are not necessarily striking me as superb ideas but as undertakings of people too greedy to pay for proper tools they need, as in software. Facts are facts.

Or simply Google's offering is just better and this is why people choose Google's offering

Which offering in your opinion is better compared to what?
Ultimately everyone's use is different and everyone will have their own preferences for their own reasons. It doesn't really seem like this is about that anyway.

As I said before, cross platform computability along is already better than iCloud could ever offers.

Also Google offers bigger free storage tire and Gmail's ability to categories my email is great help for me.

Cross platform is obviously important if required. Depends on the use case. Plenty businesses operate solely on one platform and do well.

I’m not sure what free storage a business would require, especially when plenty of business costs can lead to tax reliefs when reported as expenses. The cheapest doesn’t equal the best.

Any half decent mail client can help me with rules and other automations of course. Business that use data mining services don’t necessarily strike me as particularly professional. There is no free lunch.

End of the day: you like your Google stuff and get it for free. Will their be additional integration with iOS? Unlikely apart from the changes coming in iOS 14 with regards to default apps and the already existing integration options.

Use what you want to use. This Google is evil is tired.

People rant on about Google and privacy, and then go on Chrome to browse or use Gmail 🤦‍♂️

Unless you are 100% google free, not even search, then they are getting your data. And I dont know many people that are 100% google free as some services like search are basically unmatched.

Use what makes your life easier, that is the point of technology. Not to make it harder fining workarounds etc. Google isn't selling your data to the Chinese or Russians, or something nefarious to steal your identity or some nonsense. They are using it for advertising; like it or not that is going to be the case with cookies/trackers and a lot of sites out there.

Im not saying its not a big deal or digital privacy doesnt need work, but its not as life shattering as people make it sound. Perspective is needed is all.

Oh sure, data mining is found in many places. That’s Of course not an excuse for it to happen. It’s an ad company and that is tired from the get go in the minds of many and mostly ignored by the masses. Just one of the reasons further integration, to get back to the topic of discussion, likely won’t happen.

I agree it’s not as life shattering as people make it out to be. Like you said it’s not like Google is comprising my info to the Chinese or something.

It’s almost the same way what Amazon does. With Amazon they know what you’re searching for and interested in Amazon and make suggestions based on that. Let’s say I’m searching for dog stuff, Amazon knows that and will make suggestions based on my search within Amazon. I guess I would consider Amazon search box a search engine like Google.

Google has like 70% of the browser market and Gmail is the most used email, so what’s that tell you?

Again it’s not as life shattering as what people make it out to be. And it’s the same thing what Amazon does and other major online retailers do. In fact I was browsing some stuff on eBay and I got a notification this morning about ‘I might be interested in this.’ It’s the same thing, it’s advertising. But I don’t think my info was compromised and sold to the Chinese lol.

You just repeat that to yourself a few more times. It’s not life shattering. Btw, most things in life aren’t.

You’ll equally survive with data mining.

A million flies like to sit on a pile of dung. Same goes for seemingly free services.

Anyone know specifics of the potential leaks of Google services being more integrated with the iPhone in iOS 14?

Love the iPhone but don’t like the Apple ecosystem and don’t use it because I need to be into the Google ecosystem.

Basically I want my iPhone to have the Google integration like Android. I know it can’t be 100% integration but as close as possible.

Thanks!
I left the Google ecosystem 3 years ago because Russians and Chienese Have compromised the Android Kernel. So I’m 100% on the Apple ecosystem.
