Notice that the presenters kept saying “this year”. I think that the gradual rollout of features will become the norm rather than a monolithic release of all new announced features in one update as had been done in the past.

The Verge confirmed with Apple that developers will have to update their apps to support the feature, and they can’t release iOS 14 apps until it ships, so we won’t get to test this in beta sadly.

Is anyone know how to set a 3rd party browser as "Default" browser ?? Can't find it! (yes i'm on iOS14)

Apps will probably have to be updated first to provide a hook to latch onto.

I hope that they redesign the app at some point. The current design looks really dated. Maybe something along the lines of this:

I'd get rid of the pull-up search bar though and lust leave the list button.

I much prefer the current design, I hope they don’t change it with something so bland. But it doesn’t seem they are changing it with iOS 14

You'll have to subscribe to YouTube Red (or whatever they're calling it these days) in order to get PiP and backgrounding from the app, just like it works on iPad.

It'll play from Safari just fine as it's built in to the Safari media player.

YouTube charges a subscription for playing videos in a window so they probably won't be adding support for Apple's version

Anybody else seeing full Siri and not compact Siri after install? One one of my phones is compact Siri and the other is still the old full version.

Restart solved many of my issues

This seems big and hidden. You can even use Shortcuts with it. I just set mine to double for control center, and triple for notifications.

Interesting, is it using the motion/gyroscope chips? Surely there's no sensor that was there needlessly and undiscovered.

I think I found another one, if you're multiple levels deep into a navigation app, long pressing the back button allows to select which level you want to go back.

Is anyone else hoping they bring Dark Sky into Apple Maps as a weather layer for weather aware driving directions? No? Just me?

I just want them to add a WeatherKit API so that other weather apps can get at the data.

There is a totally brand new UI if you turn on Filter Unknown Senders in Messages settings!

It seems to filter SMS as well (used to only filter iMessages), wohooooo! I've been waiting for that.
