In the release notes, it was said the new IOS 15.1 supports Chinese Mandarin Taiwan in both Translate App and Systemwide.

Mac rumour does not further explain “how to” and verify this new translate extension.

The worse of all, 15.1 is actually not supporting translation to and from Chinese Mandarin Taiwan yet!

Not necessarily. While only a handful of states use SMART health cards for their registry, you can still add your vaccinations to your wallet app as long as your doctor’s office or pharmacy uses them. I don’t live in a participating state that uses SMART health cards but since my doctor’s office uses Epic MyChart for EHR, I was able to add my vaccination records to my Wallet app.

How did you go about doing that?

The US doesn't even have digital vaccine card in all states already?. Damn.. The EU has had it for quite some time now already..

I noticed a bug with the proximity sensor not waking up the screen while on call (using iPhone 13 pro max). It works fine in the subsequence call if you don't sleep/wake the device. Anyone facing this issue?

My iPad uploaded iOS15 with no issues, but on both the 15.0.1 and 15.1 updates, it sees it, shows it loading, but then will states cannot find the update, cancel/try again. I've reset and reloaded trying the 15.0.1 update, which didn't work, and was wondering any other tricks before I erase and reload again to get the 15.1 update?

just a heads up for those adding vaccines to apple wallet. if you already have one there, it may not update. you’ll have to re-add it to your wallet and delete the old one. I found this out the other day when I got a booster shot. I’m in CA and added it via the states website.

It appears that touch registration is not fully fixed yet. It is better but at it seems to not recognize when I touch the screen. I have also had a few instances where I was not able wake the display on the first touch, it required a subsequent touch.

I just reported this through Apple Feedback.

My state does not support digital COVID-19 vaccinations yet. I find that I get the same thing using the Health app. Basically the same sort thing and it comes from my provider.

Shareplay screen sharing doesn't work with FaceTime links. Am I missing something?

Apple allegedly trying to equal Zoom for meetings... but if you want to show a Keynote presentation, all participants have to be on IOS 15.1 or Monterey. When trying to share the screen from an iPhone on 15.1, anyone joining via a Facetime link cannot see the shared screen. So... kind of worthless? I can see copyrighted video not being shared... but to share the actual iPhone screen, a Keynote presentation, etc... why would Apple not make that work?

Has anyone else who is in a state with MyIR for COVID-19 vaccination records (AZ, DC, LA, MD, MS, ND, PR, WA, WV) had issues adding your record into the Apple Health app/Wallet in iOS 15.1?
For some reason when I checked my documents on the MyIR site a few weeks ago, it showed me a verifiable QR code (SMART code), but now it seems to have been removed from the site. I had saved the old QR code from a few weeks ago, but scanning it doesn’t verify the results (it seems like the API is down)…
I went to the site and they had a notification that says they're no longer considered a valid issuer.

UPDATE: I did a iOS 15.1 restore through Finder and that seems to have fixed the issue for me. Just thought I would give an update in case anyone else is having the issue after updating to 15.1.

As far as Vaccine Cards in the Wallet App goes, it is hardly a feature when it is available in only a few states. The vast majority of people won’t have this.
There are more people outside of the US using the digital vaccination cards so no need to think about US only and how some feature is "hardly a feature". The EU alone has 450 million citizens where the EU Covid pass is in use.

Here in the UK we've been able to have a covid pass in the wallet for quite a while now. Is this something new or something that just wasn't available in the US until now?
It’s more like talking about a difference in mechanisms. Remember, Wallet can have boarding passes added to it or a variety of other things. My vision insurance didn’t actually send me an insurance card, instead, they have a digital card compatible with Wallet. This mechanism Apple added probably has a certain level of validation, while these electronic passes were just implemented in the same way as my insurance card, probably didn’t have any validation (unless the wallet reader actually talked to the state’s/government’s backend).

I keep watching for the battery % up in the top corner of the home screen now that the notch is smaller. I really hope it's coming in one of the next few updates.....
I want the battery % back so badly. I always need to look at the widget, which is quite troublesome, as I mostly drive at work and cannot touch the phone. There might be work arounds, but I just want the % back

No need to open the widget. While the battery percentage isn’t in the status bar all the time, you can see the current battery percentage in Control Center, so it’s always a swipe away. Sure, not as convenient as having it in the status bar was, but it’s easier than looking at the widget, since you can check without leaving your current application.

I have completely forgotten about that. I will set control center on a triple backtap
