iOS 15.2 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

So to the cutting out Airpods 2 I have terrible battery life both on my 11 Pro and my Apple watch S3. Usually I charge my phone every second day and now I have to do it twice a day and the same goes for my AW3 🙁 What a terrible dev update lol

Yeah feels great on my 12. Really polished for a B2, for me anyway, and my battery is back to nearly flat lining during the night. B1 something wasn’t quite right, I was seeing a slight bump in battery drain, but so far, so good on B2. 👍🏼

Come on UC, hoping for a quick 15.2, UC in 15.3 B1.🤞🏼

I wish I could get that nice flat graph. Two nights now I've left it off charge at 71% (daily usage patterns seem to be consistent) and woke up with ~50%. You can see that there's nothing showing on the activity graph for the hours I'm asleep so I'm a little confused as to what could be causing this.

Here’s mine from last night, with Airplane mode on. Sadly my battery health has now dropped to 96% and I’m just days away from having it for a year. Well…more like half a year since this was technically a replacement for my release day 12PM. That makes it even worse in my opinion, it shouldn’t have degraded that bad that fast. I’m seriously wondering if the forum issues are what’s killing my battery, especially since someone else said their iPad battery health has dropped too. No matter, I refuse to put as much focus on it as some people do around here and will just continue to enjoy my iPhone as much as possible before upgrade time sometime next year.

13PM and IPP11 2020
WiFi.
All the rest of the household devices are not having any issues however under beta 2 I am having data issues with both of these devices. They find the sites or the app launches just fine but then data just stops. WiFi Off/On fixes the issue for a while. This issue is especially true on wake-up. It’s annoying enough that I am running the 13PM primarily on 5G.
Private Relay is off as it doesn’t play well with AT&T (according to AT&T)
Work VPN running on 13PM and currently no VPN active on IPP (do have Proton VPN installed).

13PM was OTA from beta 1 (that was ipsw)
IPP11 was ipsw as new then bu restore as I was having iMessage issues.

Finally I'm not having an issue with this on TMo. But what i did find that kinda helped was switching to 5G to Auto.

Could be cellular drain - turn airplane mode on, activate Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi calling on incase of an emergency call during the night and see if that does anything.

Another bug I've seen is that the "No older notifications" message is seen at the same time as a notification, when it shouldn't.

Two issues since updating.

1) Keep getting popup asking me if I wanna use my watch keyboard and I can't figure out how to turn it off.

2) Woke up this AM and my phone said it wasn't activated! Cellular (both lines) were dead/offline. Thankfully this was fixed by a reboot/restart of the iphone. No issues since.

Tried removing it in control centre options, then add it again. Restart your phone.

No not every time, fairly random. Yeah hard resets done. Added and removed still the same every so often

I assume you are referring to the "Perfectly Clear" box? I've learned that what this refers to is visibility, not cloud cover. But unfortunate nomenclature.

I think because, at the end of the day, its misreporting the storage, but its there. So less of a problem.

Since moving to beta 2 on my 13PM, I have yet to see the storage details.
This is all I see and I know it is far from correct. Beta 1 was around 80GB used on the device. I would expect beta 2 to be close to that.

That’s interesting. I’m on T-Mobile and lost 5GuC connectivity.

I have mint as a second esim for business and I lost UC on that as well. Downgraded back to beta 1 and works fine.

Is anyone having issues with share sheet contacts not showing when sharing photos or apps across a variety of apps like Telegram , WhatsApp and such ? I only see one contact in share sheet which is a iMessage contact. All WhatsApp , Telegram etc have gone.

Dead flat last night. Phones finally settled. 😜

Do not disturb is always on during the night. And then these settings are off which constantly use location services which could drain through the night.

These settings off work for me, subjective of course. And if I travel I turn time zone and mobile network search back on.
