isn't it easier to give your attorney the passwords/passcodes in a sealed envelope?
That's reasonable for the people that do have attorney's but there are many people don't have attorneys for these affairs. Those same people are likely to not have life insurance or any funds for burial either, hence the proliferation of GoFUndMe pages that go up when a relative unexpectedly dies.
 
What if you and your wife die at the same time...accident; (plane, vehicle crash, house fire) etc. It does happen.
Then I don't care. No kids, no pets, no other family to care about that would need access.

Least of my concerns.
