iOS 15.4 Adds New 'Scan Text' Shortcut in Notes App

I requires a phone that can do live text..... So older models it doesn't work. Also I friend told me it's in iMessages but I can't find it.

Huh? Scan the text from the screen and somehow beam the text onto some paper?
I suppose you could always use a printer.

It was mostly a tongue-in-cheek request lol. But yes, I would love something that could do that, because I'm constantly wishing for a more secure, hard-copy version of things. Digital is good in a pinch, but not as secure, or as safe in the long run. The only thing that's a threat to physical objects are floods, fires, theft etc. So I'm always wishing I had the time to copy my notes over to a note book, only to never have the time.

I've seen it in messages as well

It seems the new feature available for any text input in any apps like the native notes, reminder, calendar, safari (while typing this reply) and third parties instant messager like telegram and WhatsApp.

This feature prompted me to upgrade to 15.4 today. Sadly, it does not work on my iPhone 7.
