Maybe a ISP issue, has been some people complaining about a modem firmware update recently down here, might try another modem.

Going to buy a new modem today that my ISP released recently, meant to be the bees knees.

A lot of people complaining down here about recent modem firmware updates that have caused slowdowns for the last 5 month.

Wish me luck. 🤦‍♂️

It was lagging when I started using it.

There really isn’t anything that comes close to iOS.

Maybe it’s just Samsung software that’s trash?

What no big Zol videos. 😳🤣

New modem is working a treat so far, I’m in heaven again.

No more App Store lag, AppStore update page is refreshing straight away.

More range on WiFi, must be the WiFi 6. 🤔

Safari is way snappier.

Might claim compensation from my ISP, since it’s their crap firmware updates that caused this issue in the first place. 🤨

Glad to hear things are better but you might be surprised that most ISPs don't actually make their own modems. They are contracted through a carrier that makes and supports modems.

A good example, Comcast/Xfinity contracts with Arris for their 2 in 1 modem router gateway. Prior to the 2-in-1 devices, it was the same way with Arris and Motorola prior to the acquisition. In this case, Arris is who releases firmware updates for the products despite them having the Xfinity name and logo on them.

Don't they test these firmware updates before releasing them. 😡

Maybe they done it intentionally so everyone upgrades to the new modem. 🙄😂

Hang on, shouldn’t of said that, wait for it, que, I’m not doing a restore, Apple should fix their software, I shouldn’t have to restore my phone on beta software to fix bugs… 👶🏼 🍼dummy spat 😆😂

One thing at a time lol, fixed most of my issues today. 😁 Thanks to my incompetent ISP ruining my perfectly fine not even 3 years old modem with dodgy firmware updates.

They're doing it on purpose, so we upgrade to the new modem they just released.

New modem is pretty sweet though, got all the latest tech. 👌

You know I don't like the word restore lol. OTA is just so easy, we were made for each other. 😊

I'll restore my devices, once they're on their death bed. 😝

If your cars dirty do you wash it or wait for it to rain?

New modem has done the trick, that selecting text bug will sort itself out hopefully, Timmy boy has the best of the best software team ironing it out as we speak. 😁

Plus I need something to complain about in this thread, have to keep the thread alive somehow.😜😂

Believe it or not, I use the automatic laser car wash. $12 let it do it’s magic, don’t even have to get out of the car. 😆👌

Best $12 I’ve ever spent.

I've been starting to have weird Airpods Pro connectivity problems that I didn't have prior to updating. Also sometimes for no reason it seems I can't go to the App Library it lets me swipe through the home screen but not App Library. Lastly I don't know if it is just me but when I reply on the lock screen to a message, there is always a bad stutter which really sticks out since everything else is pretty smooth now across the board. Minor issues but the Airpods one especially is frustrating.

I would hope that all firmware updates are properly vetted but that is not always the case. I would think that would ultimately come down to the company. A good rule of thumb I follow is to not update firmware right away, better to stay a step behind if you can as long as no critical security issue comes up that urges quick updates.

Anyone else with Apple Music notice that if you ask the HomePod who the artist is, the first time it answers (per song) it will say the artist is the previous song that played and you have to ask again to get the correct one? This happens on all of my HomePods.

And yet another bug introduced in the latest crapfest 15.4 release.
