Apple allows you to update Homepods by using the Home app. I wonder why they don't allow you to do the same with AppleTVs..... maybe I'm just not seeing how that's done
I have often wished I could update my AppleTV while away from the house. But the main reason HomePods get updated from the Home app is because they don’t have screens. AppleTV does.

Home app displaying the wifi connection strength? Well that’s about as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Could have my HomePod an inch from the router and it would still say “I’m sorry, I’m having trouble connecting to the internet”.

Podcasts Update

...It will also automatically delete older episodes, preventing the app from taking up too much storage space on iOS devices.

Thank goodness. Endlessly growing Podcast storage has been an issue for a long time.

And a new feature that they didn't warn about, you open the camera and it makes a strange blinking, if you minimize it and open it, another different blinking, it may even close by itself ! wow !:rolleyes:
Still need a decent Parametric EQ within Apple Music that allows for manual EQ adjustment ?

I really want to add a bass shelf to get the best out of my headphones that are connected to a dedicated headphone dac/amp.
I agree. I love my Sony MDR-V6 headphones that are 10 years old. They sound amazing, but when I listen to music in Apple Music with the Airpods Max, there isn’t a decent equalizer choice that makes it sound as good (flat) as my Sonys do. The closest is reduce bass, but is not that great. Adjustable would make all the difference in the world for me.

Am I correct that this is minor update and nothing critical (given I already have 15.4.1)? Just “don’t fix it if it ain’t broken”

Well I’m super excited about this update cus ever since the last update my home automations haven’t worked reliably when leaving or arriving and that is listed as fixed on this. Hopefully it works…

I’d normally immediately update but after the last couple imma hold off for a bit. I like that my amazing battery life is back on 13 Pro Max.

I am currently listening to classical music using the Music App (either selecting a Radio, listening to music I own, or using a playlist). Why would I need a specific application ?

That's what I don't get. Why not just make the Music app handle classical metadata better? If we have a separate app, is it going to be two subscriptions? How will libraries work--will I be able to download music on the Classical app and add it to a playlist on the Music app? It just seems confusing.

I'm just glad Apple was able to fix dozens of security flaws with this update. I think people are ready for iOS 16 :)
Just as long as iOS 16 is just adding or building (continuing) from iOS 15. If not..then it becomes like macOS where we basically start over and have to wait another year again to get to a stable OS. Then comes the next and do it all over again..

Am I the only one a little freaked out that Apple will determine what is sensitive for your memories? Sure, it’s Holocaust memorials, but what if you had a special trip there with your Jewish grandfather and want to randomly relive that memory?

im just saying, how can apple determine what is sensitive and where will this listing end?

Orchestral/“classical” music is deeply under served on Apple Music. While I don’t like the idea of a second subscription I very much do like the idea of a more capable interface specifically for this vast swath of music which has its own unique needs in terms of searching, classifying and recommending than so-called popular music.

I’m sure I’ll end up paying whatever add on fee they soak people for. About half of my music diet is “classical” and I remember why the Apple Music interface for it sucks so badly every time.

Not all EU vaccination cards are being displayed in Wallet anymore. Only the latest one.
The others only appear while selecting the latest one (and only one being displayed) and then swiping right.
