You should be able to strip the data under options when you select the photo from the share button. As a newbie to iOS I didn’t know this was a thing until yesterday when I was looking to strip some location data from a picture before sending it off. Just took it for granted based on past experience that it would be there.
Hoepfully it will also include the ability to strip the data as well.
Needs focal length as a 35mm value… other metrics like the 1 or 5 mm are utterly meaningless.
It’s still a useless measure as it will even differ from one iPhone to the next. So in order to get a useful value… You don’t need just math skills… but you need to know the crop factor… which most people won’t know. THAT is the issue.Unless you can do simple arithmetic.
Yes, but you can’t view it inline in the Photos app, which is what this article is specifically reporting on. I could use the Files app to view it in iOS 13, but not the Photos app. 🙂There are EXIF reader apps available in the App Store. It isn’t necessary to install iOS 15 just for that.
looks at jailbreak tweak called "Photo Info" on my iOS 8 devicePrior to now, there was no way to view this information directly in the Photos app on the iPhone
I would like to know this too. I actually like applying locations when friends send me photos stripped of EXIF data.I can see a Location icon in the second screenshot. I wonder if by clicking that I can add a location to a photo. Instead of having to do that with Mac.
