Its not a smooth release, and I say 14 more days (October 24) until we get iOS 16.1 Public Release.
I posted this in the other chat, but I don't think we will see 16.1 until at least November 1. Apple themselves have stated that SOS via Satellite is coming in November via software update. So the Window is 11/1-11/4 and 11/7-11/10 (11th is a holiday).

Which makes sense as to why to release a 16.0.3. Otherwise, why not just wait two weeks.

Something new? I have not seen anyone with this thing to be fixed

iPadOS 16(.1) is scheduled for October though. Makes sense to sync that via 16.2.
Hasn‘t stopped Apple from pushing out another minor release before the year ends before.

Apple already said iOS and iPadOS are coming out in October, as for why they released 16.0.3, not everyone updates to large point update releases quickly and there's still at least 2 weeks before 16.1 so why not release fixes for the 14 series phones now?

No way we get 16.1 end of October and then 16.2 in November. November is a short month because of Thanksgiving. I believe all previous X.2 updates have come in December/January. Also seems weird to include such a big feature in a 16.1.1 update. I guess only time will tell. I'm happy to be wrong!

Typo in modem firmware for 13 pro max.. on here it says 2.10.02.. just updated phone now says 2.09.01. Must be a typo

1.21 GB 14 Pro, huge update....

950 MB on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, which is very large considering all the bug fixes save the mail crash below are only for the 14 series.

Most mail servers filter out the bad characters so the crash was primarily affecting people using iCloud mail and Apple started filtering that a few weeks back.

The underlying code bug was still in iOS though so Apple fixed that.

Sounds like there was a modem firmware change on 14 Pro/14 Pro Max, would love to hear from anyone on Verizon if this helps with the cellular service drops, etc. that have been happening

One bug it didn't fix is the iMessage bug where it's been impossible to iMessage oneself since iOS 16 came out .
