Because there were some pretty big bugs
iPhone 14 Pro Max updated via IPSW in Finder and the verdict is...
GPS appears to be still messed up for me, in my limited few minutes of testing

What part of the 'burgh are you from?
It's probable that they knew the issues were there and had the fixes in this beta already. They have already stated that a public update for the camera issue will be released soon..
hopefully some brave soul will report that the GPS issue is resolved. (I didn't have the camera shake issue.)

I should add. I am not sure if this was happening in the first beta, but on this beta, it looks like my compass is just backwards lol. Like if I go out in my front yard and face the street, Maps shows me as facing away from the street. If I turn away from the street, Maps shows me as looking at the street.
Wonder if I need to calibrate the compass.
EDIT: "Calibrated" compass by opening Compass app and turning phone around on all sides a few times. It is now showing properly in Compass and in Maps. Will test GPS further in a bit.

This is what bearing I get when I face 100% due North.
EDIT: Opening Compass and flipping the phone around a bunch and rotating it appears to have resolved this portion of the issue lol.

Sending photos from WhatsApp is fixed, Reachibility is not. I’m glad they fixed the battery indicator. Hopefully the battery life as well…
