Iphone 14P battery at 100%

if it drops to 88% ill get a new one part of the Apple Care + package - or if it shows as faulty.
Worth a thought people. And you get unlimited fixes for accidental damage, just a small excesses to pay.

Total peace of mind for you £1050+ $1000+ devices.

It it 88% or 80%? I believe the Apple policy states 80% before they will replace under warranty.

you guys are into battery percentage, we get it. we all love battery percentage, it’s great.

Let’s un-derail this thread now, how is 16.4? Does it feel more stable? Are you encountering many bugs?

So, apparently Apple might have tweaked the camera software in 16.4 B1.

iOS 16.4 Camera Tweak?

I am running 16.4 B1 and honestly I think they have. Photos come out looking better than before. Shadows aren’t as crushed but I’ll need to do some more testing. I just came across this news/tweet today so it’s caught my attention as I HATE Apple’s current processing.

There is definitely something off with this beta.
I am infrequently, should be never, having accounts I access via an app and use FaceID, suddenly pop up as if I had never signed in before. Had FaceID fail unlocking Notes to the point I needed my access pin. At first I thought it was a possible FaceID hardware issue however these ”as if I had never logged in before” issues tells me it is something else. I checked and it is not an app update issue either. I would guestimate I have seen 15-18 of these since installing .4 beta.

Example: Log into Discover app, log out. Go back in a couple hours later and I got the “create account“ screen. Go back in later and all is working well.

Reading on other forums and in Redditt, I am not the only one having these kinds of issues. I’ve tried a couple of proposed “fixes” to no avail.

Feedback shows “Greater than …” have reported this.

I have, to date with this beta; updated via OTA, reinstall via ipsw, reboots, hard reboots, yet still seeing them if infrequently.

I hate to say it but there may be something wrong with your device. I haven’t seen any of this behavior on 16.4 on my 14PM. Have you had diagnostics ran on your phone?

I have a trip for later this week to the closest Apple Store.
Have to roll it back from beta for that. Beat appears to be where the issue lies but it will verify no hardware issues.

I could see FaceID but the “like I never logged in before to the app”?

Well the battery life is pretty good. 😂
And no real issues for me.

I wouldn’t worry. The battery meter is just an estimate and I believe it’s off anyway. There is no way a battery can actually be at 100% after 4 months of daily use and charging.
My iPhone 13 Pro Max was at 100% for 10 months when I bought it. Went down to 98% before I traded it in.

This jittering in “some apps” on scrolling, when you turn off Pro motion, scrolls smoothly.

Not seeing this in the iOS, so why only some apps? Are they not updating architecture for 120 frame rate?!?

Love ProMotion! Why would anyone want to go from 120Hz to 60hz? 😓

My point exactly. It can't be 100% for 10 months of daily charging and using. That would be saying a 10 month old Li-ion battery that has been charged and run down for 300 days (at least) is exactly the same as a brand new one. We all know that's simply not the case.

My point was using my iPhone constantly as I work on the road and charging as I always have, my iPhones 12 and 13 did NOT go down in strength as quickly as my iPhone 14 has. Something has changed and not for the better.
