Had an error in Safari today. However, iPhone 14 Pro Max is running smoothly! 😭

Good battery life so far running 16.4 b2 on my 14PM (with AOD on):
'
Day 1: didn't bother checking

Day 2: 6 hours screen-on time with nearly 60% charge remaining at the end of the day

Day 3 (today) so far: fully charged overnight; since waking up, 2 hours screen-on time with 88% charge remaining

Besides battery life, performance seems very good, no issues other than minor glitch when attaching photos to messages.

Don't know if it was the bed head or what but FaceID would not unlock anything for me this morning.
Heading for the coffee and ended up using my passcode. Saw a text from my bank, FaceID failed at login.
By then I was getting irritated. Did a hard reboot and it appears to working okay now. No more failures so far this morning.

Coffee was good. :)

Crossing fingers.

The never-ending saga of roaming not working on 802.11r networks with non-enterprise security continues. Basically what happens is that roaming between access points stops working after being connected to my FT-SAE (WPA3-personal with 802.11r) network for more than 30 minutes. I've now sent my 20th report about the bug, and I've provided Apple with several extra logs when they asked me to.

Did my trip to the closest Apple Store today to see if my iPhone (13PM) has a hardware issue with FaceID.

It doesn’t. Matter of fact the checkup said all was well. That was a relief as it is out of warranty. He did try to get me to upgrade

At this point I have to go with it being a software issue. I can say since the b2 OTA update, I have only had a couple of FaceID failures. hope the improvement continues.
Maybe it just doesn’t like YOUR face. It is pretty intimidating. 🤣

Normally Music 1 is censored, but they’re dropping expletives right now. Is this a new thing?

EDIT: never mind, Apple allowed them to broadcast the De La Soul special uncensored…so it’s just a one-off thing.

Gotta say, this beta is really good. My two biggest gripes seem to be fixed - no more squared notifications and no more stutter when flicking apps back to the Home Screen. These were still present for me in 16.3. I know some are still seeing squared notifications but it doesn’t seem across the board anymore. 14pro here.

The main reason I want to install this beta is so that I can set AOD to turn on, when my ‘driving’ focus is active.

Can anyone confirm this works and works well?

Getting a glitch wherein small home-screen “Batteries” widget shows AirPods charging (they are), but large lock-screen/Notification Center widget doesn’t….

Also just noticed the discrepancy in weather data between widgets—sleet beginning in 11 minutes versus 21. These screenshots were taken back-to-back. Ouch.

EDIT: Performed a full restart; both Weather and Batteries widgets seem to be back in sync for now.

Since beta 2, watchOS is unable to get my heart rate reading quick and it’s severely underreporting the rate.

A reset with new setup was not helpful, to the point where I wish I had stayed on beta 1.

Not saying I don’t understand betas, but whatever they’ve changed seems to have broken something fundamentally.
