Slightly OT but this notification regarding a HomePod firmware update downloading seems new

Did they finally get rid of the “Spinning Wheel” update? The progress spinning wheels didn't provide any helpful information how much progress has been made.

Even with that notification banner the useless spinning wheel is still there. Waste of graphics.

Know what else would be awesome? A switch that would remove all mentions of games in the App Store. If I scroll the home page of the store it’s like 85% games, all of which is of zero relevance to me.

That said, this beta is so smooth on my 14PM. Not a single hiccup to mention as of yet. Battery seems good but I’m a very light user.
OK you talked me into it. You drive a hard bargain.🙂

Hopefully this version has the same security updates 16.4.1 has.

Since the Private Browsing bug (the first tab you open and type a URL into either acts as if you never typed a URL in, or any links on that page do not load by tapping on them), I think it's safe to assume that the lock screen bug (where you have to tap twice to get the list to load, since one tap only makes the list gray) and the CarPlay bug (where if you try to load music directly from your head unit, or if you add a song to Play Next on the phone itself, Music will crash and take you back to the main CarPlay screen) are still there too.

What are you even doing, Apple? Did you let Space Karen fire your entire workforce, too?

I thought I was the only one. This is so annoying! Doesn’t always happen though

Excellent build on 14 PM so far. Had some pretty abysmal ping times over cellular data on 16.4.1 and decided to give this beta a shot. No complaints here.

Popped onto my 13PM and had a Settings badge. Hmmm... this is new. 😳

"Confirm iPhone Passcode
Confirm your iPhone passcode to keep using iCloud. This passcode also protects access to data stored in iCloud"

WTH? 😕
Then when I do I get a brief popup that tells me that your passcode can be used to access ... It was all the things that we have been worried about since the passcode mess was announced in the WSJ. 🙄

Ummmm, it may be the old placebo guff kicking in, but my God in heaven, this Beta seems snappy as hell. As for baddery life. I think I may have found a bug. It was on 77% when I finished downloading and installing the beta this morning. It's now 20:51 in sunny Tavistock, and I'm still on 77%! Me thinks I need to to a hard restart.🙃
