iOS 16.5 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

They really are getting the performance, speed and battery life up to scratch with these bug fixes and improvement betas 🥳😍

My iPhone 14pro is running and performing like a dream.

Since there is no specific forum for watchos betas, those of you who have installed this second beta of watchos 9.5, does it offer you the same options to install developer beta or public beta or both as on ios or is it something independent?
 
Files app not syncing to iCloud Drive. Continuous spinning circle showing against iCloud drive account in Files app window.
This happens while on mobile data, even though iCloud Drive updation on mobile data in iOS Settings app is toggled ON. The syncing happens immediately when connected yo Wi-Fi.

I have found it impossible to charge my iPhone to maximum capacity since I upgraded to the iOS 16.5 beta 2. Every time I attempt to charge the battery, either I have been alerted it is on hold due to the device's high temperature, or it simply won't charge at all.

Seeing the same with Files and Proton Drive.
 
Screen time recording on my iPhone 14 pro max is completely out. And as usual, sharing information across devices in screen time still doesn't work. But then this is Apple were talking about; they've only had four years to sort it out.

Agreed here as well. Screen Time is completely out. Sharing has been out. It will work fine in another decade or so.

Have you tried a different charger?
 
B2 is disastrous! Battery’s a joke, front camera isn’t working anymore. What the heck is this beta for? 16.5 b1 was already a problem… honestly considering this is x.5 release a lot of issues

Yep! It’s likely nobody’s cameras are working and all the batteries are dying well before midday but nobody mentions it because that’s just the state of iOS these days.

Clearly betas are only released nowadays to taunt those few that still believe every update has the potential to fix it all in one fell swoop.

I can echo the above. No problems on my 13 mini. Very smooth and battery’s better than ever. Not sure why so many others are seeing problems but it’s def not seeming to be the norm.
