I noticed from the previous beta to this RC release performance has dropped on my iPhone 13. Seeing stutters in games and my keyboard lags at times. Will file a report tomorrow in Feedback, doubt it’ll make an impact before release though.
Maybe we’ll have to wait even more for 16.7, the version that might finally address all this performance issues? We’ll see

Call Bug

Does the call bug still exist where nothing is heard for the first about 5 seconds?
We have had this on both our iPhone 11 Pro since iOS 16.3.1 or 16.4.

Day 1 battery performance seems promising on my 13 mini. I've been struggling a lot ever since 16.5 (overheating, terrible standby, etc)

iOS 17 Open Beta did very good as well, but had to downgrade because of keyboard, sharing bugs.

As of right now the phone finally stays cool to the touch when not in use. Graphic shows as well.

Is the forgetting-wifi-password bug fixed yet? I still have to re-enter the password for my home network once every few days. 16.5.

I have a similar issue with Apple Watch forgetting the private MAC address being disabled. Wonder if it’ll be fixed.

Battery life for me on my iPhone 13 Pro Max is still quite trash, no where near iOS 15 or pre 16.5 levels, but I already got used to it. And looks like I'm not the only one as the feedback app says there are similar reports.

What I found today is that after updating to 16.6 RC I have to turn up the volume on my AirPods Pro (1st gen) to like 3/4 of the bar. Before that I used to use them mostly around half of the bar and now it's barely audible.

My 13 pro max is getting worse battery life as well compared to 16.5 (skipped 16.5.1) ending the day with 15-20% less battery life with the same usage compared to iOS 16.5.

Normally end the day 11pm(ish) AST with 78%, currently sitting at 64% with 2 hours to go, I imagine I’ll be at around 55-58% when I plug it in.

Nothing different, same apps same things turned off (Siri, location, background app refresh…) installed IPSW via iTunes DFU mode. Set up as new and only transferred contacts and a few pictures.

Battery life on my 13PM is as good as it ever has been. No issues for me.

Isn’t it crazy how some users have battery issues with their iPhones, yet others don’t? I guess its because there are a million and one different phone setups out there, different apps, different use cases etc.

I am just grateful that I am not one of them, but I could be with next iOS update!

It's not crazy, but rather a different experience for the reason you mentioned.

Same on my 14PM. Best battery life with iOS 16.5.1 through 16.6 RC in the entire time I’ve owned the device (bought it during launch week).

Mines no good either on my 13 Pro Max. Probably 20% less a day than 16.5.1.

Also my Battery Health has tanked from 97% to 91% in two months. Coconut Battery says it’s at 93.4% 🤷‍♂️

Given the absence of new features in 16.6, why didn’t Apple call it 16.5.2?
