Troubleshooting Steps (Telstra/iOS)
If you are having issues after installing 16.7.13, try these steps:
- Reset Network Settings: Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This is often the most effective fix for "SOS Only" or 4G connectivity issues.
- Verify Carrier Settings Update: Go to Settings > General > About. If a cellular update is available, a prompt will appear automatically.
- Take out SIM card, restart iPhone and then put the SIM card back.
- Toggle Airplane Mode & Restart: Turn Airplane Mode on, wait 30 seconds, and turn it off. If that fails, restart the device.
- Verify VoLTE is On: For older iPhones, ensure Voice over LTE (VoLTE) is enabled, as 3G networks are being phased out.
- Use Computer for Update: If the update fails over the air, connect to a computer to update via Finder or iTunes.
