It’s not hardware. We went through this exact same thing before where random people were claiming it was hardware. It was not hardware.

Just because we haven’t found the exact cause and it only affects a subset of people doesn’t automatically mean hardware.

I agree with you that it’s not an overt hardware issue. But for the exact reason that it only affects a subset of people, it’s reasonable to believe there’s a hardware predisposition for the bug.

The reason I wondered if it was iCloud related is that a lot of people experiencing this also had it on iOS 14 until it was fixed. If it was hardware, I think it would be too much of a coincidence. I don’t know how widespread the issue is - I’ve used my partner’s phone enough to know that hers doesn’t experience it, and I also haven’t noticed it on my work iPhone.

I didn’t have this issue on iOS 14 and I’ve used the same iCloud account.

iOS 16 RC was released to both Dev and Public today.

I am downloading now, but I have little hope.

It’s so sad that we’re losing hope. Is there anything else we can do? I think it has something to do with the apps we install. I can’t believe I has anything to do with the iCloud account itself. If this is not a universal issue, it could be by installing the wrongs apps and settings. Every 14P ou PM potentially has this issue, at least.

It’s certainly a generalized issue since it occurred in 3 out of my 3 iPhones that were bought in different countries and continents.

Only 14PM. My 13PM was running perfectly with the same apps and account.

My 13PM had the bug started occurring in the very last 16 Beta (I posted about it here). This was before the iPhone 14 was even released.

It's definitely an iOS 16 issue. It has gotten worse over time.

As I mentioned above, I don't see it but your mention of apps got me wondering more on this. Could some background activity occasionally interfere with / out prioritize the animation action? I have background app refresh off - is yours enabled?

Mine is off too.

I had the same issue on my 14 PM. After installing the iOS 16.1 RC, it feels more responsive and I haven’t encountered the issue yet. I will definitely post some updates here

Everyone says this literally every single build since the issue has started. You always get a few hours of reprieve.

I wouldn't hold your breath.

I really don’t know what’s causing this. I can assure you that if I buy 1000 iPhones, all of them will have tue bug if I apply my settings, install my apps and log in to my iCloud account. Some people doesn’t have it because of specific settings and apps. Probably less apps. One person in this forum has already said that they had their phone exchanged and had the same issue with the new one. Another guy said their work iPhone didn’t have but the personal one did (number and type of apps?)
