Not sure if this is new but it seems like screenshots and photos are intelligently named based off the content. You can even rename when saving.

Finally… after 16 years we can manage known WiFi networks ! (Settings > Wi-Fi > Edit).
Before, you had to be connected to a WiFi to edit or forget it.

And you can disable attwifi!!! The bane of my existence with a AT&T SIM. loving iOS 16 already.
Easily the most stable initial major version iOS beta I've experienced.. good stuff!
Anyone having issues syncing to your computer?

A day with this release and everything seems fine. Apps work fine, nothing has crashed. Battery isn't dying prematurely. Should be smooth sailing til release in fall.

Sometimes I have trouble to detect if people is being sarcastic. But I really would like the keyboard's auto-correct to be fixed for good.

First try with XS Max and iMac late 2015 same as you. Quit out of there and did an encrypted backup, then a sync afterwards worked fine as expected.
With the new lock screen scrolling (and hidden) notifications, how do you know WHEN you have notifications? I turned on my iPhone 13 pro and the lock screen shows NO notifications, however, if you scroll up from the bottom, you see all the notifications. Hmmmm
New notifications appear at the bottom of the Lock Screen, old notifications that appeared before you unlocked your phone are in Notification Center. Check your Stack/List/Count setting in Settings > Notifications as well
@Channelsurfer63 i tired again and same thing. I have backup most important info to iCloud ticked and encrypted this backup. Do you have something different set?

I think I figured it out, after watching the lock screen video on here. it is supposed to show you a text bubble at the bottom telling you what notifications are there. It does not always do that.... hmmm
Cool feature that is useless on the iPhone - you can drag the image out, but can't get to messages or mail to drop it... oh, so close!
You can, use another finger. It works great for me. Also if you just tap the image part it'll let you copy or share.
Did you install the driver from Xcode for finder?
Might help, sorted my installing using IPSW file problem out.
Download Xcode, unpackage, then extract by using show package contents (right click mouse on Xcode) then route too > Resources > Packages > MobileDevice.pkg - drag that onto your desktop and install.

iPhones Battery widget on Lock Screen | Have we got to the bottom of why some people cant display theirs, as we've seen some that can, and they only have the Apple Watch as a battery option for lock screen?

HAHAHAHAHA jinx! just did a post which fell below yours.
The downloading/downloaded indicator is still broken. This has been going on since iOS 15. Now it’s even worse as even a hard reset doesn’t resolve it and it still shows as downloading.
