How did you fix it? I can only show my watch battery and but the attached Apple battery

By default the battery widget is set to ‘automatic’ so if you have an Apple Watch you’ll see that by default. However if you tap the widget while editing and turn off ‘automatic’ you should get the option to choose which device’s battery % is stated

The dictation function does not work in messenger and whatsapp on my 13 pro max.
It does work in safari

I notice that the magsafe battery (apple) on my 13 pro, does not show the correct level left, where it does on the regular battery widget. hmmmm

Nope, since it would need to use the new Live Activities API in the iOS 16 DevKit and apps using the new DevKit won't have updates allowed until September, just before the release of iOS 16. (Source: WWDC 2022 keynote, about 10 minutes ant 20 seconds in).

Did you install the driver from Xcode for finder?
Might help, sorted my installing using IPSW file problem out.

Download Xcode, unpackage, then extract by using show package contents (right click mouse on Xcode) then route too > Resources > Packages > MobileDevice.pkg - drag that onto your desktop and install.

Press and hold on the message notification? That’s been an iOS feature for a bunch of years. Works with 3rd party apps too.

We’ll, 24 hours in and I’m actually enjoying iOS 16 Beta 1. I haven’t experienced any bugs so far. And the refinements are very nice indeed.

Edit to add: I still think the new wallpaper picker looks like a cheap copy of something from Samsung or Huawei. Maybe Apple will improve it with the next beta’s.

Been playing around with Contacts.
Had a few duplicate Contacts so I tried to merge them.
No Joy...
I get the static spinning wheel and it just sits there. No error or other indicator but nothing ever merges.

A day with this release and everything seems fine. Apps work fine, nothing has crashed. Battery isn't dying prematurely. Should be smooth sailing til release in fall.

My Yahoo Sports app crashes if I try to go to the page with all my sports listings (NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, etc.). This is definitely a minor problem, though.

Cool feature that is useless on the iPhone - you can drag the image out, but can't get to messages or mail to drop it... oh, so close!

I've done it several times. It's a bit awkward, but definitely doable. You need to up your iPhone skills game! 😄

Seeing only 4 peculiarities with the update. Often I just see black background when I do a google search from the search bar in safari. Like it isn’t returning anything. I also am getting lots of you have no connection error when my connection is fine. On the usps informed delivery site in safari items are overlapping oddly. In Facebook when commenting it has a large comment area to enter text when it is usually collapsed after responding.

No volume bar on the Lock Screen when playing music? Now I’m furious. Also cannot scrub the song being played (I’m going to assume this is a bug for now).

Edit: the Apple TV playing video has automatically appeared on the Lock Screen now playing widget and it includes a greyed out volume bar. I’m willing to accept the lack of volume bar for on device music apps is simply a bug.
