iOS 16 Beta 2 Tidbits: New Wallpaper Colors, Backup Over LTE, SMS Filtering and More

I still don't see where the regular iOS wallpapers are. When I tap on Customize on the right side, i get buttons for customize current wallpaper or add new wallpaper. Then I see these Featured, suggested photos, weather and astronomy, emoji. colors. All of them have the time and widgets on them.

You have to allow Astronomy to use your location “While Using the App” and it’ll work on the Lock Screen, not just when editing.

Hmm, wish I could have it center my location without having the green dot constantly showing. Looks weird on the Home Screen and Watch Face and I prefer it not be there, though the quality of the Earth model and addition of cloud layer on the Watch Face are nice. Hope they continue to tweak it.

Oh, and revert the Always on Display for the Watch Face too; the original faint atmosphere crescent on black here was cool, the slightly darker version of the raised face in Beta 2 isn’t as dramatic.

Not getting the added languages and I also lost the ability to change to metric units in maps. Switched to miles and I can’t change back to kilometers.

Just create a shortcut from the Shortcut app. Save that shortcut on your home screen. So easy.

You now have the ability to upgrade an iCloud family plan to 4TB for another $9.99. From what I see now after upgrading the limit now is 4TB. No option to add another 2TB after that.

Yup. It also finds and offers to merge duplicates in Contacts.
